Why not bring a stroller instead of renting one?

I forgot to add, we are thinking of getting the Graco IPO. I need something to replace the $40 stroller we bought 3 years ago for Disney!! The downside is no snack tray and my son doesn't sit very long at all without a snack!

Where do you put your stoller and stuff in the stroller when you go on rides?
Is there a safe place for the stroller and your belongings?

Usually you will find next to a ride or show the Stroller Parking. I never leave my camera or wallet when we go on a ride (or any other valuables) and we have never had a problem. Since we had our own it was easy to spot but if you are renting one, I would attach something to it so you know where it is.

Also, after existing the ride or especially a show don't be alarmed if your stroller is not in the same place. Sometimes the CM's will move them to make room for other strollers.

;) Happy Strollering!!!:cutie:

We did not have a problem leaving anything in the strollers. I wouldn't leave anything valuable though. I second what Miprender said, your stroller may not be any where near where you left it! Even more confusing is when you come out a different door than where you went in AND your stroller is somewhere else!:rotfl:

the strollers Disney has for rent are just so dang EASY to push. They magically decrease the weight of your kids by a lot!;)

the price increase stinks, no doubt, but the convenience and general ease of movement is worth the extra cost to us.

I know! They totally spin on a dime! And I love the way they save a spot on the sidewalk for the kids for the parades. Imagine this: 3 kids sitting in a double slurping Mickey Bars, and waiting for the parade, and 2 parents standing behind and slurping too.

Good stuff Baby!

I could totally be way off, but when I think of an umbrella stroller, I think of a cheapo 10-40 dollar stroller. The Graco IPO costs $90. I don't know if you can really consider it in the same category because it is made so much better. A $90 stroller shouldn't cause the same complaints that others have with cheap umbrella strollers; such as being hard to steer, tipping over, not having a cup holder for adults and not reclining.

An umbrella stroller is simply a stroller that folds up umbrella style. They can cost $10 or over $100. The OP quickly dismissed those of us who use them as "obviously not knowing what we're talking about" when it seems that he isn't familiar with all the options.

It is quite a long thread, but I thought in there other people mentioned umbrella strollers and their drawbacks (might have been another thread here or even on the family boards). I was just pointing out that they may have been thinking of a more basic umbrella stroller. That was all I was trying to clarify, that you do not have a basic umbrella stroller. :) And I would take the one you have over mine anyday!
I don't know the OP, but what he said was not "obviously not knowing what we're talking about", it was "Spoken like somebody who's either never had young children or who's forgotten what it is like to have young children". I read not as an attack on those who like umbrella strollers with a lack of storage, but more like, hey don't forget you have to carry alot of junk when you have kids... Like he already clarified, he never intended to insult anyone and maybe he was interpreted that way through a lack of smileys...;)
