Why no free dining at All Star Movies?

Hey there!

I was looking the conditions and details of the now extended Free Dining Offer and I'm curious : why do they exclude All Star Movies Resort from this offer?

Especially since All Star Sports' Food Court will be down, this might have a huge impact on All Star Music (I started another thread about that)

Because the rooms are full.

They release discounts to fill rooms.

They can't be completely full because you can still book rooms there (at least when I'm going to be at Disney) I was assuming it was because it's a little more popular than the other two All Star resorts. When I went last year we stayed at All Star Movies and the Dining Plan was included then.

This thread is several months old, but ASMo is the most popular of the All Stars, and while there are still rooms available, the current booking levels are high enough to satisfy Disney's decision makers. :goodvibes

:welcome: to the Dis.

Oh! I didn't even notice the dates. Thanks for clearing the uncertainty of the reasoning behind the rooms still being available for me though. :)

Movies is more popular than either Sports or Music and WDW apparently thinks they can sell a certain number of rooms there even if they don't offer free dining.

The thread can be sort of relevant now, except this year it is Music that will be closing its food court for renovation.

I'm still a little confused since the thread was from last year. I was able to get Free Dining last year for All Star Movies. (It was my first year going to Disney and I knew nothing about the free dining deal or the resort exclusions, a travel agent booked it for me)

We had free dining last Aug at All Star Movies too. It was from a pin code though so perhaps that's how your travel agent got it for you.

We got free dining last year at ASMo sept/oct 2013, no pin code just by the offer, I always assumed it was included since we got it? I'm hoping to stay there again next year with FD also but I'm a little curious to see if they refurb ASMo food court next...
