This doesn't apply to my family (yet), but why isn't there a FP+ for JTA?

I think there are age restrictions but could that be the only reason? Couldn't age be determined through other data sources?

I know the child must be physically present to sign up.

I doubt that the checks and balances would be adequate enough to prevent folks from sneaking a child through who should not be participating.

It's a supply issue. There aren't enough spots to make a FP feasible. If it were a FP experience, it would be "sold out" in mere seconds at the 60 day mark and off site people would never get to do it. For something like this, you want to make certain that the people who sign up are actually in the park and committed to doing it.

It's because of the age restrictions and the requirement that prospective children be present at signup.

The child to be in the Jedi Training Academy has to be able to "perform" the duties. So, the child needs to be able to answer some questions so they can present themselves to be able to follow the "commands" on stage. My then five year old grandson really wanted to do this and his parents signed him up and he had to answer the questions himself. He did fine and was granted a pass. And then once he needed to report for duty, at least one parent/guardian had to be with him. So, I think it's a good thing there is no FastPass for this as it's not really just going on an attraction or into a show. It's an experience and after watching my grandson do it, I'm glad for the upfront connectivity with the child.
