Why isn't Disney Quest a "Plus" option

I was set to pull the trigger on a 5-day PH Plus until I just discovered Disney Quest is not part of the "plus" options. Why can you "comp" a waterpark, but not DQ, which is essentially the same price? We want to do 1 waterpark and 1 other option, but don't see any great options to complement the waterpark.

Pleasure Island? No thanks--not with 3 kids
Sports Complex? Fine for me and my son, not much excitement elsewhere

So, based on that, I guess I'll have to re-think my ticketing options. Any ideas?

We also had the same dilema and we wound up deciding on getting the UPH instead of the PHP, we just took away the arrival day and it was almost the same as the 4-day PH from AAA and we will get to do anything we want. We are a party of 11 and there a definitely different tastes, some want DQ while the others want PI and we all want the waterparks so we decided on the UPH. HTH.:wave2:

I think Disney would prefer to sell the UPH, so I think the DQ thing is an extra incentive to get people to switch to it.

It is a rotten deal - but it is cheaper for me to buy the DQ passes seperatly then it is to get the UPH passes. I was DQ was included!

If DQ were a plus option, it would be mobbed! Wouldn't be able to get near the place and if you did, there'd be huge lines for everything.

I'm OK with DQ requiring either an UPH, a PAP or separate admission.

Carol is absolutely right. The other PLUS options are open-air forums which can hold thousands of guests at once. If WDW were to ever make DQ a PLUS option, it would be an instant logistical nightmare--particularly on days with bad weather.

Didn't DQ used to be a plus option? I went to DQ a couple of trips ago, and I'm almost positive I used my PHP. I know I've never bought a UPH, and I'm pretty sure I wouldn't have paid full price to get into DQ.

If you buy your park hoppers (6 or 7 day) from Paramount Int. They will give you one free admission to DQ. Its right on your php so you dont have to worry about losing it--and, like the plusses or park days, it never expires.

Can anyone buy tickets through Paramount? I would be very happy if I could get this as one of my plus admissions...

Great points about DQ being mobbed if they were plus admissions. I never thought about it like that (probably because I have never been to DQ). It's just hard to think about spending another $100 to experience this. My DS really want to go, it would be right up their ally - but the $$ is a factor.

If you do end up needing to buy Disney Quest tickets the best price we found was at Ticketmania with the mousesavers discount. I don't think I should post what it was but it was less than the regual discount ($24 adult, less for child ?$19 maybe?).
Disney Quest is really fun and even my 6 year old girl who never plays video games loved it. She kicked her brothers butt at air hockey!
One of the great things about Ticketmania is they are local so if you decide you need to go back you can call them up and they will drop off tickets for you (or you can pick them up!)
Also you will lose track of time in this place so plan on staying late, but beware- your food options go away at 9pm- one counter in the food court stays open and that is it. We put in about 6 hours and only left when our youngest feel asleep. DH and I just loved the classic games and I would easily pay $5 to ride the build your own coaster (which I did 4 times).
They really need to add this to Disneyland! (but I doubt it).
