Why is WP so much cheaper than WH?

Yes I know it's an older property, and yes some homes may not be up kept as nicely as other (this can happen anywhere though), but the prices seems to be much cheaper on average. I'm not even going by the lowest price, as we tend to be picky and like homes that show pride of ownership.

For the same price of WH, we can stay at WP and with the money saved get our park tickets for free (if not a little bit more).

I know, I know... there's always a debate on WH vs WP, but when I look at the savings (and as long as you do your homework) it seems like a no brainer. :confused3

WH is just more popular right now. We always stay at WP and have a great time in a wonderful house at a smaller price.

WH's is a newer development.

They have the zero entry pool with pool slide.

You will love WP as much if you ae not into using these 2 amenities.

That's a much larger discrepancy than I recall, but I haven't actively gotten quotes for a couple years now.

maybe less originally owners at WP changed than WH.

if wh is newer than the price of the homes has really gone up in the area.

in the late 1980 we price a home - it was $55,000 - now it is $365,000.

so if you brought your home at $55,000 to $125,000 - you can rent it a heck of alot less than someone who paid $300,000 or more.

You got that right Pat!!!

We usually stay at WH in a townhome w/ splash pool. This thread makes me wonder if we could stay at WP in a small house at a comparable price. Do WP homes have pools?

There are also TH with splash pools at WP. Good luck with your decisions.

Thanks for the info. We've loved our stays at townhomes, but it can get loud if you've got a large group next door. Not even necessarily people being inconsiderate, just loud with footsteps when you have the next door staircase up against your bedroom wall.

We've been saying how it would be really nice to be in a freestanding house next trip!

Has anyone ever stayed in a Disney themed condo, townhouse or 4 bedroom home in WP? If you have, would you mind sharing a link?
