Why is thrifty so much cheaper?

I looked at thrifty, using the magicard, and am able to get a luxury car for $327?? Why so much cheaper than the other agencies? They are offsite, right? But would that make such a difference? What am I missing here?

The location in Vegas was very aggressive in selling extras and in charging customers that waived the coverages for every small ding. They went so far as to put clear circular stickers on existing dings. Any ding without a sticker would be charged upon return.

I don't think Orlando is as bad but a company can either make money with legitamite rates or can make money with extras.

It's hit or miss. You may have just caught them at a good time. A few weeks ago, I happened to check and got a mini van for $206 (with taxes). Now that I am rechecking, their vans have been up over $400 for the week we want. If you see a price you like, be sure to reserve.

Are they a good company to rent from? Easy to get the shuttle back and forth? Do they charge your cc upfront or not til you rent? Thanks. Ive never used them before. Easy to cancel if I find a better deal?

Very easy to work with, eficient shuttle and easy to cancel if a better deal comes around. One piece of advice, join the Blue Chip program (it's free) this will allow you to go past the general line and get in and out very quick.

I read on mousesavers they are the same company? Only difference is thru the magicard discount i can get a free additional driver thru Thrifty (saving $80 on an 8 day res). The rates are the same otherwise, that Ive seen.

I just took 1/2 hour off at each end of my ressie and got $288 for a dodge charger for 8 days. Not bad I think? And free add'l driver with the magicard!!

Is there a thrifty counter at the airport or do you need to call for the shuttle? Im not understanding what it says under the terms.
