Why is the search feature disabled so frequently?

I love using these boards, but it's almost impossible without the search feature. Lately it seems like it's been down more than it's been running.

I miss my search! sniff sniff

Okay, enough whining. Back to vacation planning.

The search is load limited, which means when the boards are busier and the server load is higher it shuts off, so that the boards run faster. Search increases the server load and if we allowed it to run at all loads then the boards would be unbearably slow.

Try search early in the morning or late at night.
