Why is the moon so low tonight?

It may just be my location, but the moon was freakishly low tonight . . .

According to Jack Horkhimer Star Gazer: The moon is at its closest to the earth this week. It appears to be 14% larger than normal. And a whole lot brighter...Keep Looking UP!

It's because of the increase in Global warming is causing the polar ice caps to melt and making the Earth swell in size. The Moon is still in the same place, but now we're so much closer to it, due to bigger size of Earth.

That's my story and I'm sticking to it.

This is a little-known fact, but the population of witches has been decreasing and most of the remaining witches are getting up in years and can't fly as high as they used to. Therefore, with halloween fast approaching, the moon has dipped lower to accommodate the aging witches this halloween.

Wow. I noticed that the moon looked awfully large last night, but I chalked it up to it being an optical illusion because it was close to the horizon when I saw it. Thanks for the info.

Actually witches don't use brooms anymore. They long since converted to SUV's and personal, private jet travel. With the "super size" craze that hit America a few years back, regular brooms just didn't support the added weight and weren't cutting it. Unfortunately this adds to the increase in Global warming and the melting of the polar ice caps, which makes the earth swell around it's own waist line. Which goes back to my own, self funded, scientific study, found in my original post in this thread.
