Why is Pinocchio missing from parks and Disney

Jiminy Cricket M&G is at Rafiki's Planet Watch in AK.

Is this current? I can't find my boy Jiminy on the Disney app section about where to find characters.

He has more park time then some movies, I mean when you have a restaurant at MK and a ride at Disneyland & characters from it meeting around the parks as everyone has said, he is far from missing. Now take Black Cauldron, that's missing

What is black cauldron? Like the evil witch's cauldron in snow white is a character? Who does meet and greets? Should it have a ride?

Um, a Disney movie otherwise I wouldn't have referenced it in comparison to Pinocchio.

The Black Cauldron is one the THE most embarrassingly-awful Disney films.
The other one is The Black Hole.

Jiminy left DAK a couple years ago. Though he does still pop up around Earth Day/Week.

Foulfellow, Gideon, Geppetto, and Pinocchio all pop up randomly at Epcot.

As the Disney film catalog gets larger and larger each year, it's harder to balance all of the various characters and films' representation in the parks. But considering how it's one of the more underrated Disney classics, he's pretty well represented. The film is prominently featured in the Festival of Fantasy Parade, it has a whole unit consisting of two floats in the Main Street Electrical Parade, a restaurant, two of the characters appear in Fantasmic, and often appear at unscheduled meet and greets in Epcot and DHS.

I spotted Jiminy Cricket on some recycling bins last time I was there.

The movie does have representation in the parks. Disney has so many movies now, it would be nearly impossible to have them all in the parks multiple times. Plus, it makes more sense to push current, semi current, and popular movies then it is to put in ones that may not be as well know to today's children. Not sure how many kids are begging to meet Jiminy Cricket (though I am sure Disney has some idea of popularity) versus the better known princesses or recent movie release characters.

Disney tries to downplay their association with Pinocchio. He has a lying problem and they feel that would be a bad example to all the children visiting the parks!

I have a Platinum edition blu-ray of Pinocchio, it's very nice. Pinocchio is my favorite Disney animated film, and Jiminy is my second fave Disney character right behind this guy

The DLR Daring Adventures attraction is terrific, it'd be nice to have it at MK.
