Hey all,
Ive looked and looked and looked some more, bu I cant find discussion around Expedition Everest. Why is that? I was hoping for some great reports on what the ride was like.

Thanks,
Matt

You must not be searching hard enough. There are a few posts that deal with this. For the best sense of what the ride is like, go to the YOUTUBE website and search for Expedition Everest. There, you can find a video of the entire ride. Pretty amazing little ride.

I have seen stuff on other websites, but I wanted the DIS boards review. I always have relied on the DIS board members for their advice and reviews.

Thanks EPCOT

A quick review:

The queue line has plenty to look at, especially in the buildings part. If you've ever read any books / accounts about going to Mt Everest, it makes it even more interesting (IMHO). I think the Imagineers did an awesome job with the theming.

The ride itself - let's just say it's the smoothest coaster I've ever been on. At the beginning when you're zipping through the countryside, it's like you're just out for a trip through the country. Then when you go up the mountain, look off to the left and you can see Epcot and MGM, and off to the right for an amazing aerial view of AK.

At one point, you go backwards and it feels like you should make a 360 at that point, but you don't. The Yeti wasn't as scary as I thought he might be.

Definitely worth doing, especially if you like coasters.

It is an awesome coaster...very smooth. Rode it twice last week. The lines are awful (80 minutes most of the time) so we fastpassed the ride 2x. It starts out slowish going through the countryside, then you go up, and up and up. At the top you get stuck and go backwards in the dark. You go around and up as far as I could tell. Then you wind back down the mtn. with no major drops but a really really really huge yeti. It was way bigger than I thought it would be and it was such a cool animatronic. :teeth:

There were quite a few reviews of the ride when it first opened. If you do a search you will find them.
