Why is my computer doing this???

Okay this JUST started today.... My little cursor (the white arrow) is constantly changing to an hour glass no matter WHAT I am doing! I am scrolling thru the threads on the DIS and the cursor changed 5 times - I didn't even CLICK on anything. The only other windows I have open right now are AOL IM, Yahoo Messenger and Windows Media Player (listening to my playlist).

I did 2 Spyware scans and even cleared out my cache. Help!

Have you tried running the Scan Disk?

Sounds more like a virus but since you ran the Spyware it might be a Windows malfunction. .

Scan disk? Is that like defragmenting?

I have Norton Systemworks and that comes up clear too!

UGH! Maybe it is just a sign to get off the computer and go to BED! LOL

Wait! LOL!!

Just did a quick Google search and found some info about a Spyware called "Comet Cursor". .

Try this:

Click on the Windows "Start" button, select "Settings," then "Control Panel," then open "Add/Remove Programs." On the "Install/Uninstall" tab look for Comet Cursor. If you see it and don't want it, you can delete it.


If that doesn't work you can find the Scandisk right above where you go to defrag. .

Didnt' find Comet Cursor listed. Will run scan disk and another virus scan and see if that helps.
