Why is my computer doing this?

Twice in the past couple of weeks everything has been working OK but I can't type anything. As far as I can tell the keyboard is NOT malfunctioning.

I run a virus scan daily, I update it daily and I also run Ad-Aware numerous times everyday. I do lots of reward programs and they can be nasty for spyware.

It happened again last night and, after I scanned everything I could and two reboots, all was fine again. And, obviously, this morning things are OK or I wouldn't be able to type this message.

Oh great computer geeks.... any thoughts on this odd behavior?

Sounds like a loose wire connecting the keyboard to the computer.

Jiggle the cord.

I'm having a problem with my wireless router--it is plugged in but will just arbitrarily stop working much like your keyboard. Sometimes jiggling works, sometimes it does not. Methinks the router is on it's way to pc part heaven.
