Why is it Year of a Million Dreams?

I had one of the brothers at work ask me today why it's being called Year of a Million Dreams?
Well I was stumped I didn't have an answer for him but I told him I can get an answer. So I'm asking, why is it called Year of a Million Dreams?

Disney is doing extra things to make peoples dreams come true.

It started on Oct 1st, and we experienced it first-hand last week.


They actually have cast members who are "dream makers". These people walk around and hand out stickers to the little ones, surprise people with free commemorative lanyards/pins on rides, etc.

I think they needed something to bridge over until the next celebration.They also needed to do a boost to moral in both the CM's and guest .

So what better way then to give stuff away.

It's because they are giving away over a Million dreams for more then a Year

So maybe it should be A Little Over A Year Of Over A Million Dreams

Yep I got two commerative pins (one directly from a manager and another through a trade)

It's a sweepstakes. They are giving away (more than) a million prizes.

It's also co-inciding with a new park managment push from the execs to create more "Magic" on the front lines by giving free food, more magical moments, etc.
