Why is it unavailable a year out?

I keep trying to price our possible trip for April 2014. The days are available on the calendar, and it shows me the room rate, but then when I click on the hotel, it says no rooms available for this date. What's going on?

You can't book online yet for 2014. You can call and book a room, but the rate is subject to change once the 2014 rates come out (usually in the summer).

Also, you can only book a room only reservation at this point. Once the 2014 rates and packages are released you will be able to book them.

As the pp's said, you can book room only now by calling, but if want to book online or book a package, you have to wait until the 2014 rates come out. New rates usually come out in August, but have come out as early as June/July the last 2 years. If you call and book now, you will be quoted at the highest rate for 2013 for that particular resort/room type, which will automatically be adjusted once the 2014 rates are released. Also, if you book room only now and change to a package later, the room only will have to be cancelled/refunded and a package booked, requiring a new $200 deposit. Since room only and packages are different reservation systems, money paid toward one cannot be applied to the other. With that said, if you are wanting a package to begin with, it's better to wait (IMO) until the rates are released to avoid cancelling and rebooking.
