I was looking at the crowd level predictions on the Unofficial Guide Web Site and noticed that March is REALLY crowded - why would that be? Just curious. :confused3

You have to look at when Easter is - that determines spring break time. The 2006 guide dates were off - I would verify.

I would also pay to Tour Guide Mike - I went the last 10 days of March 2006 and hardly ever waited in line due to his tour guides. If you follow his advice it does not matter how busy it is.

That said, in 2004 I went the end of Sept/first week of Oct - no tour guides were needed as it was a slow time.

I know ours has nothing to do with Easter it is always the 3rd week in March ... 2007 that is a trip March 17-24. In Oklahoma that is a State Law so it is for all schools through University.

Hmmmmm.... I didn't realize people had Spring Break before Easter (which isn't until the first week of April). As they say , you learn something new every day! :)

A lot of college spring breaks are in March...and a lot of bands/teams go to Florida for break.....this may contribute to the crowd levels.

New here, so I was hopring someone could explain this to me please. Who is he and what does he do?

I was at WDW this past March: 17th (St. Patrick's Day) thru 20th (First day of Spring), and found the parks to be somewhat crowded. Epcot on Friday the 17th was packed during evening EMH, to the point that I gave up and went to my resort. And the Animal Kingdom was crowded because Expedition Everest had just opened.

There were groups of children all over the place (teams, cheerleaders, etc) and while I enjoyed chatting with some of them, being a retired teacher myself, they did make for some crowded spots at times.

Also adding to the crowd are the people who come to the Sports Complex to see the Atlanta Braves baseball play spring training games. (That's why I made the trip myself.)

March is much better crowd wise than the hot summer months, but not as good as the period between Thanksgiving and Christmas, in my humble opinion.

Enjoy.

Yup yup yup! This past year, our college's SB was the second week in March.

In west Texas we have Spring Break - usually the second week of March and then we also have a Friday off for Easter, even if it is the next week. Our spring break for 07 is March 12-16 and we are off on April 6 for Easter.

Spring break, spring break, spring break.

In many southern states, spring breaks are mainly in March, regardless of when Easter is. We tend to start school a little earlier and end earlier.

Our schools break in March out here and also has nothing to do with Easter, but I know that in MA, for example, many break in February and April, usually the third week of each. I would guess that between those and the Easter holiday, spring would be very sporadic as to when it would be crowded.

Like how crowded? Not like Christmas crowded :crowded: I hope. That was the worse crowd I have ever been in. We are going March 3-10, hope we will be ok.

Going with my sisters and all our families :cloud9:
