Can I book from the US on a UK website?

Is there a catch as to why it's so much cheaper to book a disney resort on here?

I did some side by side comparisons. I wonder if it has to do with the prevalence of coupons and they are 10% or 15% cheaper to make up for that? Some were close and a couple were way off. Interesting...

I booked my hotel room through Expedia UK last year and just booked again this year. I also checked Expedia India, Canada and Australia... all of which are more than US prices. It is weird... not sure how they determine the appropriate price in each market. There is a whole tread on this topic on the Budget board.

Last year I save 55% over rack rate and this year I think it is about 42%. I had no issues with my stay last year so decided to use them again this year.

One thing to keep in mind, you cannot add the dining plan. Other than that my experience was no different.

can you change dates if its still a few months out like you can bookign directly with disney?

can you still get the magic bands?

It's almost like an everyday 30% promotion!!

This is great! There are no hidden costs?

You can cancel up to 7 days prior to your arrival. The website says it can take 5-7 days to receive your refund. If the exchange rate changes you may loose a little depending on the rate the day you booked compared to the rate the day you cancel. I would think the difference would be nominal.

After you make your reservation, you will receive your Disney reservation number within a few days. (just go back to the website and your reservation will go from booked to confirmed and the number should be listed, starts with a 4) Last year it popped up for me within 24 hours however I had an issue getting my Disney reservation this time. I called Disney directly and the cast member was able to give it to me, no problem. Once you have your Disney reservation number you link the hotel res to your My Disney Experience. At that point you can customize your Magic Bands.

There really is no difference expect you cannot add the dining plan.

No hidden costs or fees. Make sure you are converting the quote right. They use pounds not Euros. You can find conversion tools online by Googling it.

Check out Samaya's tread here on the Dis. This is the wonderful person who shared this info with us last year. http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=3222577

Make sure you call your credit card company to let them know about the charge otherwise they will decline it because it will seem fraudulent.

WOW! I just checked this out....what a difference. I may have to seriously dig deeper into this. I have a few one night stays I need so I don't need the dinning.
thanks to who ever posted this. :cool1:

I checked my dates for February 2015 for CSR and they were pretty much the same.

Worked for me! I just needed 3 nights at a Value.

On the Disney website, All Star Music was $330 with taxes/fees.

On Expedia UK, it was $237 less $30 mobile coupon code I found = $207 for 3 nights with taxes/fees! That's $69/night! :cool1:

threeboysmom- do you have the mobile code? Where did you get the code?

I saw the code mentioned in another thread on this board.

It's MOBILE20NEW. In order to use it, you must book your reservation on your mobile device (either through Expedia's app or Expedia site).

When I lived in Asia it was cheaper to book flights from an Asian travel agency than on the military base or in the U.S.

Also, keep in mind that often when I shopped downtown and used my credit card, I would also get a currently exchange fee charge from the credit card company.
