OK, before anyone flames, I've never been to WDW but I constantly see that everyone is trying to get an ADR there. What is so great about this restaurant? Is it the food or the atmosphere? I don't know anything about this restaurant but need to check up on it further.

Steak for one dining plan credit inside a theme park - enough said. It's also a very small restaurant - the capacity is only about 150.

Before the dining plan Le Cellier was not nearly as popular as it is now - it's been transformed into the most difficult reservation at WDW.

To be honest I'm not exactly sure :confused3 It has a good rep but I thought the food was so-so.

as the previous post states, steak on the dining plan is a big draw. before the ddp it made for quite the expensive dinner. i think before the ddp it just wasn't as an affordable option as some others but, it is wonderful. The filet was better than any I have had Morton's or Ruth Chris's. It is nice inside too, but I wouldn't say anything fancy. It is now along with Ohana's one of our favorites and a must do. Hope you can get an adr, you won't be disappointed.

We've never eaten there...but my understanding is basically the best value for a 1 TS credit on the DDP - plus many people crow about the quality of the food. We got an ADR for December, and while I didn't really care one way or the other, I am trying it based solely on the popularity.

I am generally underwhelmed by steak-houses, as it is one meal that I can prepare quite easily at home...for about $10 / pound I can buy a nice steak, season and grille it myself, and it's as good as most steak-houses. The only place we really love for steak is Outback, and even there the prices are getting pretty high.

I think it's also because Le Cellier is the only meat-and-potatoes place in Epcot. So many picky eaters out there, not interested in the other cuisines offered in World Showcase, and this is a place where they can find more familiar food.

size matters, if they could turn three times as many a day it would not seem so mystical. actually pound per pound i would think sci-fi is a harder ticket on short notice.

The Filet Mignon. Yum!:thumbsup2

I'll start off by saying DH and I are always that couple trying to get in there but never could cause it was always booked.

On our most recent trip there, we were able to make reservations and get it. We now understand why that place is always booked and you have to book a reservation so far in advance. The food was amazing, cooked perfectly to our expectations, great service, great atmosphere, and acceptable prices considering you ARE in WDW.

We plan on planning our trip around a dining reservation to that place in our future trips.

HTH! ;)

I have lunch booked there for January. We aren't big eaters and usually just use counter service while at Disney, but since we are going at a slower time and will have the time to take more breaks, I figured we'd try it. When I logged online at 90 days, there were plenty of openings. We won't be having the steak; my dad will probably get the cheese soup and I'll have some sort of sandwich. :goodvibes

Been there twice...once for dinner and once for lunch. It wasn't bad...but I will never go back. I can make a WAY better steak at home and when I eat out, I want to eat stuff I can't make...or don't want to make!!! Or for that matter, has an atmosphere that is just too fun to pass up...like Sci Fi.

Best not to use everyone, but the dining plans have made this once sleepy restuarant popular since it provides steaks using 1 TS ticket.

Small, dark, basement establishment-no windows (LeCellier) and tables so close I could reach out and drink from my neighbors table. No joking. The demand for ADRs at Disney do not translate to great food. This is an average steak house at best with steaks served moist, tender, tuff, and dried out. You just have to hope they prepare yours right.

We were there once for lunch. I don't understand the hype at all. It was fine, but certainly not memorable. I didn't care for the atmosphere either. We've never gone back.

I agree that it has no atmosphere to speak of, and the tables were so close together that the kid at the next table kicked me. I don't eat steak in restaurants so I can't comment on the steak, but I'd certainly go back to have the mussels if it wasn't so difficult to get in. from what I hear it's nothing comparable to a high-end steak house like Mortons, but the food's pretty good, which for Disney is a big thing.

The food is really good and it's the only place you can get a filet for 1 TS.

We liked it because the food was yummy. all 4 of us found something we liked there. I also enjoyed the atmosphere. Because it's small, it didn't seem as loud as some other restaurants.

Alot of people like it because it's a good deal if you eat there using the DDP and because it's so small, it's hard to get in.

I didn't think that it was that great. We have been to some pretty Great steak resturants in Chicago and this dinner did not hold a candle! While I'm sure it is good value on DDP I just don't think it's worth the hype. When making reservations for our Dec. trip my husband asked, "do we have to go that Canada place again"? He said he would rather go to Teppan Edo!

Delicious filet mignon, unreal mashed potatoes, cheddar cheese soup... and 1 dining credit.

We will be trying for a Le Cellier ressie in January, but if we don't get it I won't be stressed. The filet I had last year at Chefs was AMAZING and on the DDP:thumbsup2
