Why are all the room prices at Disney so high for these dates? Is any code expected to come out?
I am getting 300 - 400 a nite for WL, BC, YC. When I went during the summer I paid 134 for WL. 300 seems really really high. (with no tickets) Any advise? I can only go that week and we are going with the grandparents and a 16 month old.

How did you get the price ($134) for WL?

i went early august and used a general room code from Mousesavers.com - Also i had a room that looked right down on the courtyard and pool

Have you tried a moderate resort? We've stayed at the POFQ and really like it. The themeing was great, it is a small resort, all the buildings were a short walk to the food court.

A code for Jan 1 to April 16 was already out. It expired 12/01/04. The only discounts now are AP or AAA.

Well from mid-Feb until mid-April is considered "peak season" for the Disney resort rates, they go way up during those two months, that's why. As a Florida resident I usually kinda avoid those couple months cause it's not worth the prices. Plus I don't really see where Disney is any busier those two months than at some other times, like mid-summer and October and November during Food and Wine Festival, when the rates are lower. I guess they decided to make their profit during those months, lol.

March is Peak season, July is Value season.

July is value season? I looked on the rack rates on wdwinfo and it only shows AUGUST as summer dates that are value season- which won't work for us because our children will be in school then. We'd go in July instead of June if it was value season- are you sure about that?

We're booked at WL for March 2005. Unfortunately, I think we are paying $325 per night--and we booked it months ago.

The weather is starting to get real nice in March in Florida and people up North are ready for their dose of sun, plus the Easter holiday, Spring Break, etc. I hear you about the rates though... I am having a hard time finding availability for some of my dates (later in March) for any of the resorts at any price ; ) You might want to consider a moderate? Or you could purchase an AP and try for an AP rate. When I called, they still had some AP rates in March at AKL and WL. Good luck!

After someone here mentioned the AP - I checked the rate. The AKL was available for 189 with tax for pool view -- down fro mthe 300 originally quoted. B/c I need 2 rooms, buying the AP will save me about 700 bucks.

So thank you all for the info!!!

I'm very glad I purchased the AP! WE are going on Wednesday, got YC for ~$200 plus tax with the AP, rack rate was ~$325 a night plust tax. Right there I have more than recouped the cost of the AP! :flower:
