Why I now despise Stitch- ***Updated 5/17*** Museum of Pintiquites_June 2009

Back finally!

We started our last day at the World earlier than we normally do...9:00 am. :lmao:

We had intended on going to Epcot this morning, but the bus lines at the resort was a bit ridiculous. We decided last minute to hop on the bus to DHS and take our chances with TSM Fastpasses. The plan was to take the boat over to Epcot from there. While I stopped at Starring Rolls for breakfast, DH ran (literally) to get the Fastpasses.

(Side note: On the way to DHS, we gave two of our special bottlecap pins to two kids on the bus. They were wearing what looked like brand new lanyards and only had a few pins to trade. We figured they would like those and told them how limited edition they were. DH and I talked about how many other pin collectors probably wouldn't do the same. Yeah, we spent $$ on those, but it's great to see someone happy with a surprise!)

We hopped on the boat to Epcot after we ate, and had someone hijack the boat!

We made it back to the pin event................and there was bad news. We didn't have luck getting the pins through the next RSP, so we couldn't trade for the stupid Stitch pin that we were hunting for. DH was a wee bit mad. :headache:

OH WELL. What can you do? I persuaded him to head towards Germany and knew that a beer would make him feel better! We had 12:20 ADRs at the Biergarten!

The food and show was great per the usual. Our table companion situation...was unique. We were squeezed in between a snobby family that didn't give us the time of day (didn't even introduce themselves or look our way the entire meal!) and a deaf couple. This couple was by far the most interesting couple I have ever had the pleasure of observing. They signed to each other when they enjoyed something on their plates, and I really wish I knew what they were saying!

After DH calmed down and filled his belly with good food, I think he was ok with the pin situation. We made new friends:

And headed back to DHS via the boat (no duck captain this time):

Used our TSM Fastpasses:

And this is where we got lazy. It was SO DANG HOT outside, and we cursed our decision to be there in June. Said we would never do it again. (we're going back next month... :rolleyes1) We people watched for awhile. OMG I can't even describe what I saw. I stopped taking pictures at this point. I think it was just too hot to keep moving around, and we probably looked gross and sweaty anyways.

From DHS>Saratoga Springs for DVC pins>DHS for Star Wars pins>Rockin' Rollercoaster x 2>room for shower>Downtown Disney. Um yeah, driving to Downtown Disney on a Saturday...not a good idea. :scared1: We turned around and stopped at the Polynesian for dinner instead!

DH sang Wishes to me while we ate. You should hear it. I'll have to videotape it the next trip. Back to room>shower>bed. Leaving the next morning. :sad2:

Hmm... I'll go ahead and wrap this up while I'm still awake and interested! :rotfl2:

(Trying to start a pre TR for next month's trip, because it's going to be a doozy! We're traveling as a party of 14!!!!)

Anyways, here we were on our last night as we headed back to the room. We were exhausted to say the least. The heat really takes it out of you!

Look at the hidden Mickey we spotted!

I didn't get any pictures of our usual, last day Downtown Disney trip. There may have been a trip to TrenD, more pins, brownies and pretzels at Goofys Candy Company, and more Vinylmations... :rolleyes1

We weren't ready to leave just yet but knew we would be back in October! (Or so we thought. I ended up getting laid off 2 days before we were supposed to leave!! Needless to say, I was more ticked about missing my Disney trip than losing my job. :lmao:)

Never fear, I started a new job in January, and we're headed back to Disney next month!

Stay tuned for a pre-trip report as I try to explain how 14 people are going to survive Disney for a week! It will involve a deluxe resort (just one night lol), DVC points, a luau, sleeping on a pullout couch, my stepson and his "girlfriend" most likely fighting over who will ride with my DH, and lots more. Let's hope we don't kill each other! The majority of the people going are my husband's side of the family. So just remember his temper about the Stitch pin. It runs in the family...

It's this pin (took it from an eBay listing...). I'd love to come across it and trade for it. I have no desire to pay an inflated price just to complete our set! My DH may think otherwise. :rotfl:
