Why has WDW never updated the TTA ride?

Another vote for it being perfect! No updates or changes needed.

The only change I'd like to see, is for the Imagineers to put their thinking ears on and figure out a way to make the TTA HC accessible. popcorn::

I love this ride. It's a great way to get off your feet for a few minutes without having to sit still. You still get to see so many things going on around you. :sunny:

Last year was my DW's first ever trip to WDW. And with all of the shows we saw, rides we rode, characters we met, and places we ate at, TTA is the thing she likes to talk about when the topic of WDW comes up.

But one question -- what the heck is a Rocket Rod???

I LOVE the WED way and the carosel of progress. I hope they don't touch those rides. Too many classic rides/attractions have been changed or removed.

Tomorrowland Transit Authority ... I was wondering how come WDW has never updated that section ...

I've been racking my (so called) brain for a few minutes now, and I can not think of a single reason WHY that ride should be "updated." Perhaps by the 22nd Century it will need changing, but I doubt it.

Enjoy.

I LOVE the People Mover!! Hope they never change it! :goodvibes

Glad to see so many others agree! :thumbsup2

We still call it the People Mover too! In fact, my 2 1/2 year old begs to go on the "people mooner". :rotfl:

We have to go at least a few times around!

We love it just the way it is. . . and also still call it the People Mover. Even DH, who was never even there when it WAS the People Mover!

I love the TTA! I agree with the poster who stated it should be handicap accessible.

Does anyone have the audio for this attraction? It has such a funny soundtrack.

:rotfl2: :rotfl2: Oh that tickled me....the "people mooner". Count me in as one who still refers to it as the People Mover but now I think I'll call it the People Mooner! Very cute!

I love it too. Wish it went all around the "world".

All I have to say....is they better stay away from my favorite ride!!!! :)

This is a classic. I actually wish this went around the Magic Kingdom instead of just in Tomorrowland. LOL :rotfl:

Me too! What I think is great about it is that all ages seem to love it. Definitely one of my "phew, I'm finally at WDW' moments when I get on it.

Just have to add my 2 pennies :rotfl:

Yep us too! DH takes the older two on Space mountain..and the 2 little guys come with me on the TTA- where little man nursed his way around tta- at rope drop we are always the only ones on there so it is perfect. I love that there is a ride to ride when others are doing the thrills that the little guys can't do. It is also a nice cool break on a hot summer day. LOVE it just the way it is.

Actually, I'm wondering if perhaps the OP is referring to the model "City of the Future" section of the ride. This model city was orinally part of the post show when COP was at Disneyland. It was housed on the second floor of the building, you exited COP by walking onto the final stage area and boarding a speedramp to view the show.

The model city hasn't been "updated" since at least the late 1960s when it was at Disneyland, and in fact, many of the "moving" parts of the model never worked at WDW. At DL the small trains actually ran on their tracks.

I totally agree with you. I tend to go on this attraction when I need a good rest! I really like it because there is really no wait - it is basically a walk on, constantly moving attraction which makes it that much better. On my last trip, I recall grabing a turkey leg and a water and getting on TTA. The castmember laughed at me when I got on the attraction. I didn't know we are not allowed to eat or drink on it, but I love it.
