Because then you can totally justify spending $10 on a balloon for your kids - this was from our trip at the end of February, taken 10 minutes ago. Insane! And the balloon inside the clear part is still pretty firm. Its been a fun little experiment to see how long it will last!

And yes, it is still floating at the ceiling.

That is amazing, I would have never thought that a non-mylar could last so long. I still have my Valentines Day balloon floating here too, I am surprised by that and it's mylar. I have never bought my kids a balloon, you may have convinced me. (We drive too!)

On our last trip, I bought my son one of these balloons on Monday at MK.
On Saturday morning I was shipping stuff home and the guy at the business desk at the contemporary offered to ship the balloon home for free because DS was freaking out about having to leave it.
The balloon arrived home two days later via FedEx and still floated for a few days after that! So we are looking at 10-12 days before it disappeared!
Definitely worth the investment.

Holy smokes! That's one tough balloon!

love it!!

my DS has always wanted one of those balloons - on the way IN to the park...uh, what would we do with it all day?!:lmao:

we're drivers too - love to hear another good reason to keep drivin'

:)

Amazing! On our last trip we bought DD one and it was deflated by that evening so we took it back and got another (they will replace for free). The second one was deflated by the next evening so we got another again. Finally, the third balloon lasted a whole 18 hours too. We didn't bother getting another! :sad2:

I must have jinxed it - today I found it on the floor! :rotfl2:

Still, 2 months later I can't complain!

FYI: Walmart will fill a helium balloon for 50 cents. The person at the store might need a little direction on how to get it blown up correctly, but they can do it (at our Walmart they do it in the Site to Store--formerly layaway--area). It might make a nice surprise for your kids to find it full again.

That's a great pro for driving, my 4 yr old had a little FIT when we told her we couldnt take her beloved balloon (just like yours) on the plane. Luckily, my husband is a good problem solver and deflated it and put it in her suitcase so she could "take it home". I would love to drive once my little one is about 4, def. not during terrible 2 phase :)

Their ballons last forever! We got one for dd at MNSSHP last year and it was still around at Thanksgiving (we went to MNSSHP in mid-Sept!). The way it deflated was interesting too. The clear outer ballon vaccum sealed to the inside ballon, almost looking like a spider web around it. So neat!!

They last forever! DD wanted one, and I told her that no way in heck was she throwing away a $10 balloon. My parents drove it home and that thing lasted I swear 4 months. We still have it.
