Why don't people use FastPass?

As a local I still pull FPs, but I would say probably half the time I don't end up using them. Either I change my mind about riding that particular ride, or I find myself across the park (or in the wrong park!) when the time rolls around. But, since I already have a FP "outstanding," I still have a lot of time where the only option is to ride other attractions standby.

Since I go so often, I don't really worry about being efficient about time usage -- last week I went to the park specifically to ride Haunted Mansion Holiday, and the line was an hour wait without FPs. So I waited, because that was what I was there to do. For me, that wasn't a waste of time because I really wanted to ride that specific thing.

Lol, yes, I do the same thing. I'll pull fast passes and then go to where my whims take me...which is usually on the other side of the park.

But also, a few other reasons:
The fast passes I am most likely to pull are also the ones that run out the earliest. Or, I did use the fast pass earlier and now I want to ride something again as a last treat before I leave.

Or the fast passes I would be inclined to pull don't exist. Peter Pan is a good example of this. It's something I actually enjoy but not something I want to wait in line for. And there is ALWAYS a line. I loved that WDW had a fast pass for this.

Or (and most frequently) there is a single rider line and I can usually ride faster than return for the fast pass.

Before going to WDW I would have said I don't use them because I don't like pinging across the park. I think you actually do that more at WDW though. In reality, I think it's the fact I know DL well enough to not need to plan on the go. In WDW I used them partly because it gave me something to do in line!
