It may also take exit capacity into consideration.
I just don't understand how DVC can build a new DVC resort and not accommodate 5 people in a 1BR. They made all changes to their other resorts to do this but yet a brand new resort you can only have 4 people in a 1 BR... Obviously Im a family of 5....lol..... Is there a reason for this ????
Be careful what you wish for. Disney hasn't revealed the layout of all the floors in Copper Creek's South Wing, so we don't know for sure how many Alternate Studios/Lock-off 2BRs there will be. My guess is there will be at least six and maybe as many as nine or eleven. On the original plans there was the alternate studios. I wish they would make those a separate booking category and have those sleep 5 or 6.
It's smaller in the living area than the other resorts that allow it. I'm still a little surprised, but it's tight, more like the value rooms at AKV Jambo that also are limited to 4.
I have the same question about the 2BR only holding 8. Most hold 9.
While I'm at it, why do the cabins have 2BRs, but each room only has 1 queen bed? Seems like with all that space, at least one room could have two beds.
To me the biggest question on 5 in a 1BR (or studio) is why allow it at all. To me the negatives outweigh the positives for the membership as a whole and for DVD sales.I just don't understand how DVC can build a new DVC resort and not accommodate 5 people in a 1BR. They made all changes to their other resorts to do this but yet a brand new resort you can only have 4 people in a 1 BR... Obviously Im a family of 5....lol..... Is there a reason for this ????
I personally love the sleeper chair for the same reason a PP said.
My DD can sleep in the sleeper chair.
We travel as family of 4. DH, DD myself and my mom.
So Mom having the pullout to herself is priceless!
I like the 1br for privacy..... but my new fav room is Poly lake view studio.
As for CCV.... I'm very happy to be a "WLV" owner.
