Why does this only happen on mornings like this?

Only on a lovely Chicago Mid Jan morning. Running "slightly" late for work, temps here going to be close to zero and we of course need to get about 1/4" of snow to "ice" everything over. I do not have a garage so I am always parked outside.

So I am off, Salt thrown all over the place to prevent ice on the roads, and of course I am out of windshield wiperfluid NO time to stop, late for work, sliding back and forth, I have my head out the window to see

I guess my observation is I only run out of that stuff when I need it Have a wonderful Tuesday

that was us in NJ last week - I think we woke up to snow 4 out of 5 days! I ran out of washer fluid too!!!

It is a lovely day here isnt it........... The girls will be excited to wear their snow boots...... I on the other hand and NOT! LOL Gotta try to see things thru their eyes........

BTW Patrick...... dontcha know by now to always keep extra fluid handy????

Hey, for my bday, I got windshield de-icer fluid, the stuff to unfreeze your car door locks, and a new scraper Hey, Tony I beat you, we had snow 12 out of 13 days...with 4% sun in all that time...and now they are saying maybe a big storm for Thursday night. Hey, Patrick Walmart had a deal. Four 1 gallon of wiper fluid for $5. I bought me two and DH 3...he is the type that uses it every two minutes, I use it when I can no longer see I would have loved a picture of you driving to work with your head out the window....

DW always comments that i have too MUCH windshield wiper fluid in the house...I like to be prepared..(I have at least 3 containers of it.. )...
We got a dusting of snow also..Don't know how the roads are yet since i don't go into work until 3:30..

At least you got the car started. I went to drive the kids to school today and the car won't start. Thank goodness my friend was here and her car started. I am hoping to get it started DH is out of town until Sun.

Sheesh guys, when you run out, just throw some snow on there. Wait a second, then use your wipers. It'll melt and you'll have a clean windshield.

I would think us nuts choosimng to live on east coast or in midwest would all know by now to keep extra washier fluid on hand and be prepared for anything during the month of January.

Wish everybody luck and thanks for the reminder to "borrow" some washier fluid from hubby LOL

I know you all find this hard to believe, but I am ready for a little snow. It is so dry here. The drought is getting worse as the winter progresses. We are supposed to get a few inches tomorrow, but not much. I haven't had to add washer fluid in ages. I am hoping for a very wet Spring, otherwise, Colorful Colorado won't be very colorful.

I hate it when that little warning thing goes off telling you it's low that's when it is really annoying and makes the day worse.
