That must have been a huge shock. We had gone down to visit my grandma in Florida and I knew she had been sick but no one warned me about how sick she had been. I was shocked when I saw her. She had lost so much weight that she looked like a skeleton. I am sure that she saw the shock on my face, too. She was still in her condo, not in a hospital, so I expected a normal grandma. She died in her sleep two days after we left Florida. I am grateful that I got to see her before she died, but I don't think I will ever get over the shock of seeing her look like that. It has been 34 years and I still remember it.

It was a total shock to my system, Like you i am glad i went and pretty much said my goodbye. I will not go back. as just watching her with her mouth open like that still haunts me, I too am sorry you had to endure it...Awful.

So sorry to hear about the quick decline in your aunt. I hate that illness seems to rob so many of dignity. It is just makes my heart ache for those suffering. Prayers heading your family's way. {{HUGS}}

And I thought friends were supposed to plan for other friends! What the heck? I would actually have to read your plans instead of just following you along?? LOL!

So sorry, Mo You are all in my thoughts. I just lost my cousin & friend to cancer about 3 weeks ago (she was only a year older than I am). Some of my family got angry with me for wishing for her passing but I guess they didn't understand that, to me, it's more selfish to pray for them to stay on this earth and be in pain than it is to pray for an end to their suffering, even though it means they won't be with us any more.

So sorry to hear about your Aunt. It is so very hard to watch those we love suffer like that. One of my former coworkers was diagnosed with liver cancer recently. At first they told her 6 months, but she was gone within 3 weeks. I am so very glad that she did not linger and suffer more than what she did.

Your block party sounds awesome. Wish we did something like that here.

thank you she was such a well put together person. I mean she was the fashion expert i never even knew half the top name brands unless she took me shopping. Even bought me by first coach purse when i was about 15. So to see her like this is a disgrace.

So whoever thought it was would be a good thing to take on the equipment manager needs their head examined.
Seriously.
NO ONE told me everything this entails! WOW. The kids school hasn't had a football program for 3 years and isn't looking good. SO the bulldogs went over there and pretty much took it all.
That falls upon the equipment manager to inventory everything they took.
This was Tuesday for about 2.5 hours. in the heat. I was a sweaty mess.
gross.
Wednesday i had to go through what we call the RED BOX. which looks like this without being on the wheels

It had to be 1000° in there... Stuff is missing... like people's birth certificates. the walking moron took them and hasn't given them back. which will be a cost to the bulldogs to replace them all not to mention a bad rep.
idiot.
Yesterday a few things were misplaced. So i told the President (roger) no one goes into the red box unless the people i trust are there watching.
Today?
I have to get bleach water and dunk about 200 helmets and shoulder pads to be handed out on Monday.
This is crap. Thankfully i have help! FRIENDS ON THE BOARD remember? Oh wait! Tonight and tomorrow is the kids school fest. which we HAVE TO WORK otherwise the school will charge us for not putting in the volunteer hours.. Umm I coach volunteer remember?

Ok ok enough about my crazy busy life..

Okay, now stop changing things and let me start changing things. For there is a slight chance we might actually overlap for once. Now that I'm doing that big cruise for my birthday in early December 2017, I am very very seriously considering moving my planned October 2017 trip back to September, just to give a little more space and time between vacations. Specifically, to Sept. 10-15.

Sunday.
This was hurtful I didn't do anything except heat up leftover for lunch.

Now THAT is my kinda day!

Matt wanted to surprise his Brother and Sister with Sunday SUNDAE'S! we ran over to the store and grabbed 4 different ice cream flavors-3 different toppings- whipped cream-cherries- some candy stuff and HARD SHELL chocolate! I haven't had that since i was a kid.

Oh gosh, this is ADORABLE. I want somebody to surprise me with sundaes!!! (All those delicious carbs...)

I'm so sorry to hear about your Aunt. The last time I saw my Great-Grandma was in a care home, and it was horrible, I wish to this day I hadn't gone really. She didn't even look like her (so much so that walking into a room of elderly ladies in armchairs it took me a good while to actually find her...I firmly believe that at that stage, my Grandma that I knew and loved wasn't in there any more and I couldn't recognise the shell that was left because her spirit had already moved on, she looked like a completely different person). I couldn't sleep for weeks without seeing that face that I didn't really know every time I closed my eyes. It's faded over time and now when I think of her I think of the Grandma that I recognise and that recognised me, laughing and singing, and the face that was left behind is pretty much gone unless I try hard to recall it. Everyone told me that it was good that I got a chance to say goodbye, so I'm glad you got that chance too.

Now...back to the happy place (and not sniffly at work!)...

We didn't really tell the characters what to say when we had our video made, partially because they are so pressed for time with queues and everything. We asked if they would mind recording a message, gave them the basic info (name, "she's too sick to travel but always wanted to come here"...) and they riffed off their characters and gave us a message. Cpt Jack talked about sailing, Aurora hoped to meed her once upon a dream, Merida talked about her being brave through her illness, etc. They were really excellent, I think even if we'd tried we couldn't have come up with better than they did really. We also had the info printed big on a piece of A4 paper for non-verbal characters so that they could read what we wanted (or that we gave to their handler to read and pass on the message given that they knew where their ears were to whisper into!) which was often quicker than trying to explain through the suits!

So let's get the bad out first. then i would like to get this all behind me please.
Monday was a shock. I was so mindless after hearing about Darin. I know he was depressed. I thought Gia was worse. I would message him weekly to make sure he was OK or if they wanted to go out. It's almost to the year of the death of Kevin (their child)
Apparently this was much much bigger. the depression took hold and wouldn't let go. I cannot even fathom what Gia and their two other children are going through at this time-- Honestly i wish i was out of town this weekend as the wake is tonight. No one looks forward to going to a wake-- yet this is one i really do not want to go to. I have never had to deal with suicide let alone twice in less then a year. one of them being a friend of mine.

As for my aunt she has been moved to a nursing- rehab home.. No change. Please continue prayers.


I thank each and everyone of you for stopping by and thinking of us this past week.

Truly means the world to me to know your all there and you deal with my crazy life.. I am going to start with a real life update then onto Disney Update as i do have one!

So sorry to hear about your friend. That deep dark place is hard to crawl out of. Hug Gia and the remaining kids tight when you see them at the wake. They will appreciate it (as some may shun their family, which is even more sad, but many cannot handle mental illness of any sort) Will continue to pray for your friend's family and your aunt.

Let's go backwards..
It's been very hectic more so then usual. this is normal life update. ​

Friday? I was supposed to go to the kids school to work the fest. Instead i was caught at the field with meeting and the bulldogs. Once i got home and sitting outside for some PEACE and QUIET My friend Chunk stopped by then my Sister and Bro in law. ended up sitting out here until 1am. well there went my quiet night! Peanut ended up sleeping at Megan's house and i would pick her up saturday at the fest.
Saturday! DEAR LORD did it feel great to sleep in a little! Once up I had to get myself together get over to the fest. Got there about 11ish working the beer tent.
Finally about 8 i was about to drop. But kept going as friends would start to show up. Thankfully i was able to sit for a while with them. The Shenanigans were at full force AGAINST ME!



It's wasn't really busy so we were all joking around. Dancing Joking and laughing a LOT. until...
some little kid walked past and had one of those dang goldfish.
Tim (good friend) thought i NEEDED this dang goldfish when i was dead against it. NO MORE ANIMALS! Apparently the boys knew i wouldn't allow another animals and had won a few already but gave them away.. Smart boys..
Tim calls Peanut over -says how she needs to go and get a fish. THANKFULLY i did NOT have any cash on me.. Well Kristy solved that.
Gave the girls a couple of dollars. Little later they emerge. NOTHING she LOST!
YAY! HA HA HA na na na na But Kristy and Tim are now proud parent's of 2 fish each..
Well now this was not acceptable. Tim takes peanut down there sends a picture.

it CLEARLY shows she missed.
Somehow he talked them into giving the dang thing to her!
Jerks.
as the night went on a sign magically appeared where all the fish were just waiting for us to take them home stating: FISH SHOOTERS 15.00 a fish.. along with all their names: we had Billy, Bob, and Volleyball.
There were no takers.
Finally about 10 i had to call it quits. I did have to work Job #2 in the morning!

it was time to get a move on if i wanted to make it to work on time!
AS i was leaving i was greeted by our new security system.


I just stopped and dyed laughing for 10 minutes. and left him there. Work was fun but it was time to head home. I saw this on the road:

We needed to scrub about 120 helmets before Monday!


That is my Bulldog family! Kristy- Roger -Coach Nuke- and kids! My kids were at my cousin's birthday party.. but they came home later.

Those helmets were disgusting and i was so happy for the help! we did get them all cleaned and sparkly! PHEW!

Monday- well this day sucked as this is when i found out. My Sister called me about 7am and broke the news about Darin. I couldn't keep it together here at work and had to leave.
Back on the field- it was even harder to keep it together as most helmets had KC 54 on them. which was Kevin Darin's son 54 was his bulldog number-- So i kept myself busy fitting heads to helmets. and Friend Jen's knee was having a knee problem and asked for an ice pack.. OK went to get said ice pack and it was IMPOSSIBLE to break the balloon inside! so i went to WACK it against the door of the red box.
Along with my knuckle.
It still hurts it was 4 days ago...

Tuesday. Back to work. did a bunch around here i was reading the Dis so i kept up with you all but i just couldn't get get myself to post. knowledge of Darin was still haunting me.
Back to the field we go.. we had to have a meeting in regards to tag day.

Wednesday-
I called off work. I needed to get a ton done including get the boys hair cut! IT WAS BAD!
Dana even said it was like sheering sheep. Boys looking like normal boys and not sheep we stopped for lunch and back to the red box.
Time to pull out EVERYTHING.. that's what Kristy our kids did.
We didn't find the missing stuff we were looking for from the previous equipment manager.
It looks fantastic in there now! all clean and organized!
I refused to allow anything back in unless the cheer and concession spirit wear people went through all their crap too. Thankfully the spirit wear and concession person feels the same as i do and we have it all pretty!!
I was a HOT MESS it was so flipping hot inside that thing had to be thirty degrees hotter. blah. FILTHY? oh goodness i had to go home about 3 to shower kids get their stuff and back to the field.
as i was sorting out helmets for yet another day of handing out equipment i noticed several of them didn't have reconditioning dates.. which means they are NOT up to code.
Talk to Roger explain i am NOT comfortable fitting children's heads in them He agrees.
This puts us in a pickle. we will not have enough helmets for all teams.
My wish has just come true. We need to order helmets! THE ONES I WANTED!
yay. Had to go home and shower again. IT WAS HOT OUT!

Thursday-
Back to work again. it felt like this day dragged on FOREVER. I would look at the clock and the thing would only move a minute into the future.
awful.
FINALLY 2 hit and i ran out of here like the building was on fire.
I fell on the couch the kids woke me up about 3:45 to go BACK to the field. the largest coffee i could buy in hand made it back to the field on time.
Only to be greeted by a salesman. Whatever dude say your spiel i had to tell him i had to get moving.
We needed to measure all the boys for their jerseys if the order didn't go in today they weren't getting their jersey's for game day!
So on i went finishing up the helmets and thankfully we had enough for the kids who were there and paid up to date.
things straightened out orders ready we finally left.
Another night eating dinner at 9pm.

TODAY!
Back at the grind. REFUSE to go to the field today. I have 3 classes tonight for training. plan on coming home and falling on my face.

Saturday i work job #2 from 2-6
Sunday I work job #2 from 10-2

Monday i work both jobs again.

Which means i have 4 days off from being out on the field! YAY!

So NOW... Let's get to the nitty gritty and put up a DISNEY UPDATE!
