Your former equipment manager sounds like everyone involved with sports at my school--that's why Jimmy will never play there!! I'm SO happy for you that he resigned his position, but I'd rather have seen him FIRED!!
that's just awful. I can't stand it when these people are living through their kids like this!! Drives me bonkers. I believe it holds the kids the back..
The block party sounds fantastic!! ...except that whole part where you get suckered into a board position!!!! I blame the Summer Shandy. (PS Rob, Jimmy and I are heading to the Leinie Lodge on Sunday. Summer Shandy is his fav for the summer, too. We've had the Grapefruit Shandy but he's dying to try the new Watermelon Shandy. I'll give you a full report!)

Yes Summer Shandy is the best out there.. The only one i can substitute during summer is Landshark with lime.
Once i have my fill of summer shandy out comes their pumpkin version... Never in my life would i think i would like pumpkin beer.. BUT HOLY COW! come on FALL -- pumpkin everything!
And, yes, I definitely have pics of our In Room Celebration--I will find and post when I get back home after vacation. Also, forgot to mention, they messed up!! The banner that was supposed to be over our door with Lagoni Family printed on it was missing. I called and they weren't going to be able to get it to us before we headed home, so they said they would ship it. After a week home, we still hadn't received it so I called again. They were SO apologetic. We got it the very next day in a GIANT box that contained our banner and a huge Mickey platter with a Mickey stuffie and a ton of cookies, candy, krispie treats, etc. and an autographed card from Mickey. I couldn't even be mad because they went totally over the top to make it right.
I ADORE the in room celebrations i did it once and cannot wait to do it again! Oh NO! i can't believe they forgot it-- Yet they really went above and beyond to make it up to you!!! FUN! love them so so much!

I did too but i was trying to put it out of my head. Most of the board are friends of mine and have been give my grief about it for a while.. It was a matter of time. but i still tried... the word NO just doesn't work with me. no one believes me.

the block party is SO MUCH FUN! we really have a great time! nothing better then sitting around surrounded by great friends fantastic food great drinks and living in the now enjoying the now that moment.

The block party sounds really fun. As far as equipment manager, well, nobody will probably take the safety of the kids as seriously as you. I can't even imagine doing half the stuff you do. You are one busy woman!

I try to only post happy things going on.. But there are times i have to post not so happy stuff.
I cannot post on Facebook.. Or really talk to too many about this. Thankfully i have my Dis family.
you all know i have been posting about my Aunt and the cancer-dementia/ alzheimer's How she has been in and out of the hospital since april?
Well i went to finally see her yesterday. I called off of work as you know i don't have time.
My Mom went to the hospital I stopped in my tracks. I was not prepared to see this. My mom did NOT describe her situation correctly. My mom painted a situation in where she was going to get out of the hospital..
My Uncle (who i really do not speak to anymore) and my cousin (she has two sons) I walked in without any animosity towards my uncle this is not the time nor place.
Then i looked to the bed of a waif of a human. Her mouth was wide open eyes closed.
Apparently she doesn't close it. But she will open her eyes and look around.
Eyes seemed clear, she seemed to recognize me as her boney arm and hand reached to me of course i took it without hesitation.
It's crazy how we are more humane to animals and putting them out of their misery. Yet we allow our loved ones to suffer.
AS if this wasn't enough- My step-dad's sister is in another hospital being eaten by cancer.
So if you can please say a little prayer to end misery!!!
