I think every time we fly they change something. What is the policy for getting your money back when they change the time on your booked flight? I think I read that they will credit your cc back if the change is more than an hour?? Does anyone know??? Thanks

If the change is unacceptable, give them a call and ask them to refund the ticket due to the change. An hour or more is reasonable..... but only if you have another option in mind.

Airtran is one of those that is constantly tweaking flights..... I buy my flight knowing it is going to change.... I also look at my travel day as exactly that, a travel day. I don't try to squeeze in a park or ADR on travel day as you never know what will happen.

Flight tweaking is a sign of concern about costs. It's a bit like when you switch your route to work based on today's traffic, perhaps sometimes taking the back roads and sometimes taking the highway. Just like you make changes to your plans to save time, they make changes to their plans to save money.

I agree! It's a real pain! They changed our return flight 3 times! We leave in 4 days and I can't help but wonder if they will change it again! We are now leaving an hour earlier than we wanted to but there is little option since the next non stop flight gets us home too late. Because of that, It leaves us with no choice but to accept it! It's our first time flying with Airtran and so far, I'm not impressed! UGH!

4 days and counting!:yay::yay:

I also just had my nonstop flight with AirTran changed to a 3 hour layover in Atlanta. :sad2: Thanks DIS I had already heard it would be possible. Right now my return flight is still the same as far as I know. Long story short, we purchased our tickets from a local business at a fundraiser so we didn't have too many options. I only had two options for direct flights on our trip so I knew that AirTran would be the only chance I had. Too bad it didn't work out. I just hope that they don't change our departure flight for anything later. I would rather leave earlier than later as we have a two hour drive from the airport to home. I am glad to hear I can call and adjust a flight after the adjust it for us.
