Why do you not book your air through ABD?

You can totally do that with ABD. You can tell them the exact airline, flights, times, etc you want, and they'll work it up and send it to you for approval before they book it. Or they can come up with proposals for you, and you can pick whichever you like. Or none of them. ABD just acts like a travel agent for flights. They won't book anything you don't approve first.
