I can't put into words how i feel about being at Walt Disney World.

I can't explain it to people who just don't 'get' it.

There is an ageless thrill and deep happiness when I first step onto the monorail "Por favor mantengase alejado de las puertas"... a smile I can't keep down when we walk into Epcot and hear music playing from the hedges.

My heart sings a bit at Disney. It's like I'm in love with a place.

Is that totally corny?

why do YOU love Disney World...

I love Disney for the world it creates. It's a fabrication, but it's an ideal world. Everything is beautiful and happy. It's easy to forget that outside is the normal, everyday world with it's stresses and problems.

I realized when I was travelling Europe what made Disney so special. I was in Venice and there were homeless people everywhere begging for money, it smelled bad, it was dirty... It was worth seeing but it was not how I imagined it. With Disney you get a cleaned up, picture perfect version of real life.

I totally get what you're saying about making your heart sing. I've been all over the world but Disney is the place that gives me this feeling. :sunny:

What a tough question! What isn't there to love about Disney?? Everything Disney just oozes happiness to me :goodvibes I would always pretend I was the princess in every Disney movie I watched growing up (especially Ariel b/c I have red hair). The songs are catchy and all the movies have happy endings  Then Disney World is a whole other story... I think it's the only place my parents could take us (my brother and I) where we would not fight! That's probably why we went so often. Disney World is just a magical place. You're forever a kid, I do not see how anyone can not be happy there! You get to meet your favorite characters, go on exciting rides, and see wonderful shows, oh and you get to eat super-yummy food :goodvibes I just love Disney so much! Everytime I go there, I have a permanent smile on my face. I am cheesy too, but I don't care. I just love Disney so much! You can really feel the Disney magic :)

great thread. And I think everyone else hit it on the head - there is not one thing about Disney that makes it special. For us Disney is a way of life. That sounds strange but its just the way disney makes you feel the way you feel there that makes it so amazing. I am getting emotional right now thinking about it. It has a sense of wonder and imagination that is not found often in life. The way you aer treated as soon as you arrive there is priceless. More business should be run that way and people would be happier. Walt was a genius.

i love disney world so much because it gives me an opportunity to be a kid again. it makes me relive all the wonderful disney moments that I had growing up and no one can take that away from me.

Why do I love Disney:

The Magic. :wizard:

The instant you get close to a Disney Park or Disney Resort you are hit with this overwhelming feeling of joy and happiness. It like nothing bad can happen to you when surrounded by Disney. That feeling is so amazing there is nothing like it, no one except Disney can provide that same level of excitement, happiness and joy.

On a side note, Disney World has always been my favorite place in the world, however my DF didn't feel quite the same. It took 7 years for us to take our first vacation together and we went to the World (and got engaged) and now there will never be another place in the world that will be more dear to our hearts.

Those are the reasons that I love Disney and Disney World :teeth:

Cares are lifted, Happiness abounds and I can't wait to get back! Love their french toast and breakfast at Trail's end. I think I am hungry :)

Simple - Disney World makes me happy :yay:

I feel, I dunno "lighter" is a good word, when walking down Main Street. I feel giddy and excited just planning a day trip to Disney. No matter how tired I am when I leave I cannot wait to go back again!

I couldnt agree more. for some reason when I enter just the entrance to the magic kingdom and you see all the purple road signs I get this nostalgic feeling. My parents and DS are crazy Disney fans and go all the time. My aunts, uncles, and cousins always say that there is a world past central florida, but for some reason we always tend to go back.. Love Love Love it

I am just happy there! When I smell the Disney smell I get a wonderful smile and am happy the whole time I am there. I told my fiance at our planning session that I just felt like I was home.

I also tell him that Disney just stops operating when I leave, that Disney World is just not Disney World without me -

Why do I love Disney??

It's that overwhelming excitement when you finially realize you are planning a trip! It's that happiness in your voice when, even when you're on hold for 20 minutes with Delta booking your flights, your smile can still be seen for miles becuase your booking YOUR plane tickets to Disney!

It's that amazing rush of sitting down after dinner 6 months before you even leave to start thinking about hotel reservations and dining reservations...should we see a dinner show? Do a character breakfast? What about an illuminations cruise? The possiblities are endless!!

It's that never-to-be matched feeling of packing your suitcase a week, (Ok, I won't lie, I get excited and are usually packed a month before!) and being like "Ok, this is my first day outfit. Mickey will love this! Oh and this is my Blizzard Beach bathingsuit (A one-piece that won't fall off!) and, Oh this is my nice dinner at Epcot sundress! Only is disney do my clothes match my itenerary!

It's that skipping down the terminal as you finially arrive at the airport. Lines? check ins? sEcurity checks? NO Problem!! "WE'RE GOING TO DISNEY!!!"

It's that feeling of arriving at Orlando International and getting off that plane, getting onto that thing that takes you from the arrival area to the luggage pick up and being like "Wow! Its like the monorail, I cant wait!"

It's that feeling of checking into that Disney hotel and smeling that incredible "fresh" smell in the lobby. It's checking in and seeing shuffling people going here and there, all going about their Disney day and realizing "I have a whole vacation awaiting me!"

I'ts that rush of using your park hopper pass and putting your fingers into that silly machine. (I get yelled at each time for doing it wrong..It's all apart of the journey! hahah) and thinking, "It all starts now! I am in my heaven"

And there is nothing more incredible, more intense, more magical than seeing Cinderella's Castle for the first time down main street USA. I always cry that first time. I hold onto my fiance's hand and we just look at each other in absoulute amazement. We are here! We are here together, in the most magical place on earth. Here together, happy and healthy. Its the one time in life where all the world feels right. It's that Disney feeling that can only be captured and understood my true disney fans. I am so blessed and grateful to have the disney bug. How lucky we are to have a place in the world that means so much!

The food is delicious, the people who work there are friendly, loads of attention to detail, kid-friendly and fun (I'm a teacher so I totally appreciate and love that! :teeth: ), romantic and ideal for couples, tons to look at and see, beautiful and well-kept resorts...oh yeah, and did I mention the food? :rotfl2: Especially those big turkey legs in Frontierland and the General Tso's chicken at the Chinese restaurant in Epcot!

My husband and I just love Disney!

I know EXACTLY what all of you girls mean. I feel the exact same way :goodvibes There is just no place on Earth that makes me happier than WDW. You're right--it's impossible to explain it to people who don't "get it". I am just so happy there. It's a perfect little world in every way. :goodvibes :goodvibes :goodvibes It's so nice to be on a board with other people who "get it" too :grouphug:

to me Disney has always represented complete happiness...family...everything i wanted as a kid but we could never afford. My mom somehow got us to Disneyland when I was in middle school...it was so great! I always said when I was small that I wanted to spend the summer at Disney. Going to Walt Disney World was my DREAM...it wasn't realized until 2004...I was there when the park opened and I was weeping!!! I was so excited...unfortunately I went with a jerk of a person who hated Disney as much as I loved it, I was allowed 5 hours in the MK and he rolled his eyes the whole time and wouldn't go on anything with me b/c he was suddenly "sick" :rolleyes2 I was devastated.

Sooooo...fast forward to now...my DF, who knows that story of the ruined dream, decides that he is going to rewrite that visit for me. He chose DisneyWorld as the start to our honeymoon!! I've had so much fun planning and being on the Dis boards...and now Disney will once again represent complete happiness and family. I'm going there with my best friend on this earth and I can't wait to share Disney with him!!!!

i've already started whispering in his ear about joining the DVC!!! :rotfl:

My favorite moment is when you just pull into the parking lot of your resort & its overwhelming... I love just being in a different world... a happy magical world where you dont work and you put your worries away! I can't wait to have my honeymoon here!!!!! :goodvibes

The Turkey legs! no really everything! I love when you drive into the premises. I love when you walk on the mickey bricks. I love the sights and how i feel when i see mickey or any other character. I love the interaction of the rides. I love to hear it's a small world and trying to find the mexican child. I love the egg rolls. I love walking and watching little kids and adults. I love the dumbo ride. I love trying to find my favorite character. I hope my DH enjoys it as much as I do. He hasn't been in 20 yrs!!! He cannot wait for Epcot cause that's the park he remembers the most. Why can't I love the world? I love the idea of it. The perfect eutopia. The most wonderful place on earth. ::MickeyMo
