Why do you love Animal Kingdom?

Not my favorite park, but I do love it. Very beautiful theming and great for "something different".

It always seems less crowded which is a nice change. We love the Lion King show. DS and DH like the Donald's Breakfastosaurus and then riding Dino and River Rapids.

I will say though that I do not like EMH there. Stay far, far away on those mornings!!

I don't feel I'm at WDW until I'm standing in Harambe, watching the street shows, sipping a cold one at the Dawa Bar.

The first time I was there, I was walking on the gorilla trail alone (family was doing ITTBAB) and I ended up on a small trail by myself, looking up at some birds. There was a two story bamboo plant next to me, wonderfully green on the bottom, but dried out and hollow on the top. The breeze picked up, and the top of the bamboo plant swayed, making the most beautiful chiming sound. It was so incredible!

My other favorite spot is at the exit for Kali. There is a kiosk there selling t-shirts, etc., and behind it is a bench. Sit and watch the three monkeys that live in the old temple. They are amazing!

And as others have said, we like the counter service places here the best out of all the parks!

I like Animal kingdom because i's the most fabulous animal theme park of the world when i go at Disneyworld in 2001 i'm exited to have the possibilities to go to a real safari when I speak of Disneyworld around me (family;friends...)I say :do you know a place where it's possible to visit the world(marroco;china;mexico...)just on your journey;do you know inside this place it's possible to discover new technologie;go to a safari;swim with sharks.......this wonderful place is Disneyworld.
you like sea , your wife like forest, and your son like mountain I know the ideal destination to all of your family it's simply Disney world. The one and most beautiful happy place on earth

Our local zoo is so crappy. Our two cotton-topped tamarins are in an AQARIUM, but at the AK, they have their own pavillion, plus that little section out at Rafiki's Planet Watch. I always thought I wanted one all to myself until I heard the CM talk about how they didn't make good pets.

AK is our favorite park. We can spend all day there because you never see the same thing twice. On one visit, we saw the anteater as we were leaving the park getting a bath from a CM with a water hose. The AE LOVED it. He was rolling around on his back and scratching his belly under the water in ecstacy. First, I've never even SEEN a real anteater. Second, I haven't seen him since –– I guess he hides most of the time.

We also saw the tamarins getting fed crickets and fruit. It was fun to watch the CM call them by name ––*they all look the same to me. And there is NOTHING that beats turning a corner on the Kilimanjaro Safari and having to BUMP a rhino out of the way to get through. We also saw the male lion standing up and getting ready to roar –– even the driver was in awe ––*UNTIL HE CAUGHED UP A HAIRBALL.

And we saw one of the male elephants at ––*AHEM –– full mast. That was pretty impressive! :earseek: Everybody tried to look so serious but we were all hiding smiles.

And THAT's just a few reasons why we like AK best. You can't STAGE animal behavior.

1. Lion King Show
2. On our last trip, A cast member let my 8 year old DD get on the walkie talkies and "wake" the gorillas!
3. I really feel like I've gone somewhere out of the ordinary in AK.
