Was President Bush a man who found a way out of Viet Nam? If a Democrat had the same history and he was running against Senator Dole, wouldn't he be classified by the right wing as a "draft dodger"?

Name calling is just about the most childish thing to come out of any political discussion, debate or what-have-you. It's fine for the various parties to disagree and point out the other's failures/problems, but to lower themselves to name calling is just very silly.

As has been noted earlier, it's disrespectful.

Of course, the President has been called much worse--with the approval of Kerry and Edwards (I'm referring to the Whoopi Goldberg incident).

Just because both sides are guilty of it, doesn't make it right. It's silly and immature, disrespectful and takes away from the issues at hand.

I have never called a President any insulting names and I never would.

When did it become acceptable to call the people names--whether or not you respect them? It's childish.

I have virtually no respect for John Kerry. But I'd never call him names. Should he be elected, I'll refer to him as President Kerry--even if I do disagree with him.
