Just curious why the parks close at 6 PM in late August. Do the crowds die down that much? My husband thinks it's great because it gets us out of the park, to a nice dinner and then on to relax-time at the pool, but I LOVE theme parks at nite

The crowds do drop by late August but I too love the parks at night. I believe the general concensus on why the parks close so early is the noise ordinance. Since Universal is within the city limits and there are neighborhoods behind the parks, they have to close early. The hours are also set by the anticipated crowd levels. I wish the parks would stay open until at least 8pm though.
