Why Do Some People Type Like This???

In the early days of e-mail and such it was common not to capitalize anything. So maybe the e e cummings folks are just old.... :p

oh great now i'm dumb, lazy and old! wait, should that have been dumb, lazy, and old?

shoot, just take out my shift keys now, i can live without them....

.... put in on purpose

I know one person who has MS or something like that, and when she has a flare up she can't type capitals. She has a problem with her hands. I always hate reading posts without caps, but when I heard that I felt kind of bad. So I try to be understanding (but it is admittedly hard.)
I know some people with disabilities have a hard time doing caps because it involves holding down the caps key at the same time as touching the letter, putting caps lock on and off or having 'sticky keys' programmed onto their computer.
People typing on unusual devices, like cell phones, blackberries or ipod Touch devices also may have some trouble with doing caps. I also know that some of the voice to text programs sometimes do weird things and correcting the problems might lead to other, even worse, weird things.

I can over look missing caps. The ones that really drive me nuts are the ones that aRe WRitTeN LiKe ThIs! VeRY hArD tO ReAd AnD i DoN't KNoW wHy aNyONe WoULd CHoOsE tO TyPe LIkE ThAt. :confused3

With The First Letter Of Each Word In Their Sentence Capitalized?

Is It Something They Do On Purpose? Or Can Their Computer Be Set Up To Do That For Them?

Cause it seems to me like it's an awfully hard way to type???????

DH does this and it drives me crazy!!!

When I asked him why he persists in typing like this, he just says, "I don't know. I don't realize I'm doing it."

...My sister NEVER capitalizes... it drives me insane. It looks like a teenager's writing! I am a fanatic when it comes to grammar, spelling and semantics and the internet is NOT the place for folks like that! ;)

....:lmao:

I find that odd. We had AOL in the "early days" and I always used proper capitalization and punctuation when I type.

I'm talking pre-AOL. Grammer was always pretty good - none this "r u ok 2day?" stuff. But it was just seen as faster not to bother with the shift key as most computer programming languages and such made no distinction between upper case and lower case letters.
