Why do some dog owners do this????

The ultimate in rudeness. I had a neighbor at our old house that did this. He would walk his dogs next door to poop in their rose bushes or across the street to our house under a tree in our front lawn and then right back to his house. He didn't want it on his grass - so apparently he considered our planters a better option. Oh - and he never picked up, unless it was on his property.

I don't even like other peoples dogs peeing on my lawn..I have a dog and he goes in his one little area in the backyard where my daughter stays out of...she likes to climb on the tree in the front yard but some neighbors think that my tree is a toilet and let their dogs pee on it..I don't understand why people just can't let their dogs do their business in their own yards!

How did you train your dog to do this?

I put little boarder fence type stuff and just took him to that spot every single time when he was a puppy and after a few months he just automatically ran right to that spot to go to the bathroom ...I just had to go out with him for months in the beginning to make sure he went where he was supposed to.

My front yard is about 3 feet above the street behind a small retaining wall. Some people actually pick up their little dogs and PUT them in my yard to do their business! The real kicker is that I live Right across the street from a park. Oh, you would have to walk ten more feet to get to the park and that's to much for you?:furious: The same type of people will walk their dogs into the area were the playground equipment is and let them go were little kids play. Of course they don't clean it up, but even if they picked it up with a baggy there is still residue left. What the he!! is wrong with these people?

I have two dogs. So I know they have to go sometimes. But I wouldn't take them anywhere that was inappropriate for them to go and that includes leaving residue after I scooped. They are my dogs. I love them, but the whole world doesn't and the rest of the world shouldn't be inconvienced by them at all. This is really what is wrong with our society, everyone is always thinking about THEIR rights but not about their responsibilities.

Every evening, without fail, we see this gentleman and his schnauzer on their walk through our development. The dog is rarely on a leash. Every single time they stop in the undeveloped lot across from our house and the dog poops. The guy never cleans it up!

I'm thinking that lot may actually be a doggie play area and nobody told us because the guy who lives next to the lot lets his dog poop in it too, rather than his own yard! And no, he never cleans it up either.

Our mailboxes are on that side of the street so 6 days a week we get to enjoy all the wonderful sights and smells of the poop piles.

I'll have to find out if we have leash laws and poop-scooping laws. Seems like we should but then again the horses are allowed to poop everywhere and the Amish owners don't have to clean that up. :confused3

Maybe I'll get one of those signs and sneak out one night and put it in the lot. :lmao:
