Why do servers get upset with Dining Plan?

I have been reading a lot of restaurant reviews on this site. I have noticed several posts that mention that their waiter/waitress was upset to find out the patron was on the Dining Plan and proceeded to give terrible service. Why do you think this is the case?

Is it because the Dining plan is more work?
Do you think it is because a higher percentage of Dining Plan customers, especially ones on "Free Dining" tip less or not at all? I only say this because in my experience as a waiter, customers that had coupons or gift certificates generally tip a lot less than customers who paid full price.

We've been on the dining plan and have never had an upset server at WDW, and we never had terrible service. I would hesitate to question while ALL servers at WDW are upset over the DDP and give terrible service simply because some people feel that way. I think it's mostly subjective.

I've never had that experience. I've been 3 times during free dining and paid OOP for the DDP another. We've never had a server act like they've got any sort of problem that we are on the plan. We've had service that's not-so-great, but that's to be expected once in awhile in 30+ table service meals.

I wouldn't have thought it was due to the DDP, more over worked or lazy servers.
