Why do ringtones cost 3x as much as the actual song?

Other than they charge that because people will pay it? :rotfl:

Because paople are stupid enough to pay it. They will never sell a ringtone to me at the price they charge because I refuse to pay more than I would feel it is worth. Maybe my age has something to do with it - at 50 I am past the need for instant gratification.

Probably because most people aren't going to buy 2 gigs worth of ringtones...

I have no problem being "stupid enough" to buy my ringtones. They make me happy, so I guess that means I pay what I think it's worth.

I saw where you can make them in iTunes.... need to see how that works.

I had no idea that you could make your own ringtones. I found a website that does it for free here. I'm about to try and see if I can make it work!
