I so totally agree about personal space, but then again, what is personal space? Unfortunately, it is becoming a thing of the past and I want to go with it.
I hate strangers touching me and God help them if they touch my kids. I don't want to be smothered, sneezed on, elbowed, kneed, jabbed, or crowded in any way, shape or form. I like being talked to at a safe distance, but I don't want to be touched while being communicated with. This is not only Disney.
From what I've been told, America is one of the few countries that recognizes "personal space." Europeans don't practice this concept and they are all over everyone when they come here. I don't think they plan on being rude, just a different culture. I can accept that. Americans, I can't understand or accept. It just grays my very light blonde hair and fries what's left of my brain cells. Why do they want to touch me?
I also hate people on my bumper when I'm driving. That's my extended personal space. I want a cars length between us. I break for everything and don't want you in my backseat. Yes I guess I have real personal space issues and that's fine with me.

I don't know about anyone else, but I try not to touch anyone (particularly someone I don't know well) without asking--whether it's a pat on the back or a hug. This especially applies to children. Hope I don't get flamed...
