He's such an arrogant jerk! I'm watching Next Food Network Star and he drives me absolutely insane with his self-importance.

My guess is women find him attractive....

I'm a huge fan of BBQ, and I can barely stand watching the guy. You can just tell he would be arrogant.

I find Tyler Florence to be a lot more attractive... and he has a great personality!!

I like Bobby and don't find him arrogant.

I think his recipes are my favorites and I love Mesa Grill...And no matter what he's better than that nail on the board grating Paula Deane.

He gets on my nerves, and I really think he might be gay. I have a few friends in the restaurant biz.....and they think his orientation is....ambiguous.

He is rumored to be quite arrogant - though my friend met him at his NYC restaurant and he was very friendly, congratulated her on her graduation, and took pictures with them. Perhaps a PR move but she was pleased.

I think he's a great chef.

Well, he is married to one of the women who played a DA on Law and Order.....

:confused3 isn't he married? Not that that's stopped others- but.

I am not a fan. I think he is too self important and hello- you cook. Attractive??? huh???

And I met Tyler in Orlando and he has a HUGE head. I mean size of head not ego. And by huge I mean GIGANTIC! That is what caught our eye first because we call ourselves the big heads- my son goes "check out that guys head he could hang with us" well he turns and it's Tyler Florence!! (we were at Universal in front of Emeril''s Tchoup tchoup or whatever it's called) He is cute though. I wouldn't want to be birthing his babies though.

I've been to Bobby Flay Steak in AC (twice) and Bar Americain in NYC and LOVED both. The last time we were at the AC one, he was there and he kept coming out of the kitchen to say hello to people. I like him :)

I like Bobby Flay. I think he is extremely talented. I do think he has mellowed with age. I love watching him on Throwdown with Bobby Flay. He is always very respectful to the people he competes with and makes a point to compliment their food. I think his reputation took a beating when he jumped on the cutting board after he competed on Iron Chef in Japan. I honestly think he was kidding around, but he offended many people.

my DH kinda looks like Bobby Flay, but it makes him reallly mad when I tell him that. So i tease him about it a bunch.

He's on the Food Network

Okay...that might answer my question...

When I search for him on Google: bobby flay food network canada : there are 15,000 results.

When I search for him on Google: bobby flay food network usa : there are 410,000 results.

(I am Canadian....so take that as you may)

But, that should give you some comfort - he is not as important in the rest of the world as he is in the United States.

:confused3

I so agree. I just saw him on Iron Chef America. He seems very arrogant. I am sure he's a great chef, no doubt has talent in that area, but he's hard for me to like. I am more of an Alton Brown fan myself.

Bobby Flay fan here. :yay:

I think he shows a serious, competitive, even arrogant side to himself on Iron Chef. But I think that's part of the role he has to play when on that program. On other programs, llike Throwdown, I see another side to him that seems more friendly and easy-going. I think he has tremendous talent and isn't your average run-of-the-mill chef.

The owner/chef from a restaurant we like battled Bobby Flay on Iron Chef and won. He never stood a chance. It was a thing of beauty. :thumbsup2

I don't care one way or the other about Bobby Flay....this chef just whooped him. :lmao:

What restaurant/chef? :listen:

ITA with the OP. I liked him at one time, but he was such a cry baby when he was a challenger on the original Iron Chef. He demanded and got rematch. During it he acted like a arrogant pompous donkey's rear end.
