Why do more people like POFQ better than POR?

It will be me, DH, and DS16 and I want it to be the right choice. We have never stayed on property and with DS's age he may not want to go again. Hopefully he will but who knows??

Our son is 25yo, getting ready to finish up 6 yr tour in the Navy. When he gets back from the Persian Gulf we're heading down to WDW.

So, if you've raised your son properly he'll go back to WDW with you at the drop of a hat,lol.

We like POFQ for several reasons:
1. Smaller resort - never far from anything
2. Pool slide - my kids love it
3. Food court....the CMs have always been so nice to us
4. Theme...love the Mardi Gras theme
5. Kids Playground....never seen it crowded and its always so clean.

Hope this helps.

Same reasons here. POR and POFQ are sister properties, therefore I think you will be fine wither way. You can use the amenities at POFQ for your visit to POR. Relax, please do not worry. You will be satisfied with your choice either way.

I have stayed at all 4 moderates and POFQ is my least favorite. While it was still nice and much better than staying off property, I found it to be a bit bland. The other moderates have differing themed areas and architecture while POFQ is pretty much the same all thorughout. The good part was that I liked the interior decore better than I though, though now that they have remodeled I can't say. It was nice to be close to the food court.
But I can say that, unless someone on one of my trips really has their heart set on it I will not stay there again because I like the others so much more.
I understand the concept for POFQ and I think it would have made an awesome deluxe resort with interior corridors and real balconies.

We have stayed @ POFQ and took the boat over to POR. While we did enjoy the FQ, I personally liked the atmosphere over @ POR a bit better,

and I know the girls thought that the pool was better than the FQ (they are teens too).... We will be staying there in June and I cannot wait to be able to put my Mods in order of preference.

That said DH loved FQ for all the reasons Simba's Mom mentioned.

You can't go wrong either way as your @ WDW.
