Why do I even try!

Youngest DS gets the bands put on his teeth at the ortho on Tuesday. The following week he will get the braces. I have ALWAYS given DS's dad the opportunity to attend dr's appts, if he wanted. Even in spite of our trouble over the visitation schedule, which led me taking him to court a couple months back, I called him to remind him of the appt. on Tuesday. Instead of saying "Thank you", he gives me a hateful, sarcastic tone and says, "Okay, mom"!

Yep!! BTW Tell your son that braces only hurt for the first 3 or 4 days!! The same thing when you get elastics!! Trust me, been there, still got 'em!!

Aww sweetie. Don't worry about him or let him aggravate you. Just keep him updated about doctor's appointments and take care of your boy. You're doing a great job.

You're doing all you can do!! I know...been there, done that with my ex. I always told him when games, dr. appts. etc were. Something always came up at the last moment. Now, my ds at 29, admits his dad is a, well, I can't say it here. But, he still sees him. But he does realize what/who his father is and thanks me for putting up with it all, for his sake. So, hang in there. It will be to your advantage in the future!!
