Why Do I Do This to Myself?

OK, strong rumour is that free dining will be offered to the general public come Monday. So, question in our household is, should we use the 40% off code and stay at a moderate or pay full price and stay at a value to get the free dining. DH, who insists that all trips Disney are for the kids, not him, thinks we should stay at a mod and enjoy the resort a bit. He was not too crazy about the crowds at Pop and the buses were crowded too.

So, why did I ask DD what she would like? Asked her if she would like to stay at a mod and eat out (CS meals) or stay at the Pop and eat with the characters? Yes, she choose Pop, lol.

Now if only I win the BT contest, all will be good

But doesn't the free dining come with one table service per day? Use that for a character dining every day so you still get the characters. Wouldn't that be a nice compromise?

If you pay full price at a moderate it is only $67 more per day than rack rate at a value...the buffets alone are around $25 for adults plus you would still get a cs and snack. If you use the 40% for a moderate you will save around $60/night but wouldn't you spend that (and more) anyway in food?
