Why do bears shop at Sears?

Oh! He wasn't a very big bear it seems, maybe he was a kid. Instead of telling stork stories on how other baby bears are made, maybe he was told they all came from build-a-bear. He just wants a little sister!

Getting back on topic (was there ever one?)... I wonder if this mall has a Build-A-Bear store, and if so, did the bear become lost on it's way there.

Probably. That would be the only store in the mall that even sells "bear arms".

Authorities say the bear appeared to be around one and a half years old and had a tracking collar on.

This disgusts me. What kind of mother bear is she to allow her one and a half year old to wander around a mall like this all alone. Where was the mother bear? Probably over in the shoe section yakking away on her cell phone not paying any attention to her child.

And the tracking collar? I mean, human mothers putting their kids on a leash is one thing, but a mother bear putting a tracking collar on her kids? Really? Put the stupid cell phone away and pay attention to your dang kids and maybe you won't have to have a tracking collar on them!

She probably left her shopping buggy in the middle of the parking lot when she left instead of putting it in a cart corral too.

The bear that made it into the Sears was a female about 150lbs. There is now another bear in the same area that is twice the size. It's been trying to get to the mall area as well. They believe it's the mother bear and they are trying to trap it. They actually shut down the 4 lane highway near the mall at least once trying to lure it out of the woods.

In case anyone is interested, this mall is about 15-20 miles outside of Pittsburgh in a direction that gets more and more rural/sparsely populated. It's definitely close to "bear" territory. However it's really rare to have bear sightings like this.

However yinz guyz...is it me or do we seem to be having a lot more bear sightings recently? There was the one in North Park that ran by the pool recently and now this. There were a couple others in the last couple of months in the South Hills as well. I think the bears were gettin' busy during the warm winter!

On the Pittsburgh news last night, they said the bigger bear is a male and he's "looking for a date". They are trying to trap him in a container filled with sweet cakes.

Well, for the same reason straight guys shops at Sears, I would expect. Craftsman tools!
