"Why Disney again!?"

Ahh, but that's the thing (and what I try to explain to those that don't "get" Disney)--Walt Disney World is not an amusement park. It's a ginormous resort that, yes, contains four theme parks and two water parks, but also offers many, many opportunities for just laying around relaxing. That's one of our favorite activities at WDW in fact! Sitting by the quiet pool, sipping a drink, surrounded gorgeous themed architecture and landscaping, a dozen terrific restaurants nearby...and if we do feel the urge to do something, plenty of things to do beyond amusement park rides (golf, boating, horseback riding, mini-golf, para-sailing, shows, concerts, you name it). And all for less than it would cost to rent a house at the beach.

Walt Disney World is an amusement park like the Palace of Versailles is a little country home.

100% agreed. ::yes::

I have been made fun of for years about our family trips to Disney. We have been going since kids were small. They are all in their 30's now with kids of their own. I am blessed that they still want to come with us as a family. Years go bye too fast. Could we always afford it ....no ..but we went anyway. This past new year's day dd and Dvd insisted I go with them on a quick Disney fix. Of course I went. Dh never really gets it but enjoys that we do. Here is my new answer to the horrid question asked by friends "why are you going there again?" My answer..."because I can"! Shuts them up every time!
