Why did Arnold confess?

As several people have said on the news, etc. Maria married another "Kennedy". She really married what she knows. Unfortunately she grew up with this behavior all around her. It's all ego and delusion that gets these guys (mostly guys) into this situation. No sympathy for him at all, but I can't believe that Maria had no clue at all that he was cheating all those years. It's just out and out disgusting and the only one I feel sorry for is the child. Apparently there are others too, so just wait, we'll be hearing more I'm sure.

Power does strange things to men. And it's amazing how attractive women find men with money and power. Men who they would say "ick" about if they weren't rich.

Exactly, what I was thinking, he is only doing to her what the men in her family have been doing for generations. I also suspect that she was aware of this for quite some time, especially since the woman worked in her house!

1) Is anyone really surprised that Arnold has been cheating on Maria? I mean seriously people, c'mon.

2) As far getting women pregnant, he's worth hundreds of millions and can film a new movie anytime he pleases. He's not exactly the kind of man that needs to worry about getting someone pregnant. If it happens, I don't think he'll be sweating it.

Out of all the posts on here I don't think a majority are actually registering surprise for the infidelity, disgust for allowing a child to be conceived, which means unprotected relations, surprise at the sheer stupidity of it but not suprise at the fact the guy cheated. I think you are reading people wrong.

With the getting the woman pregnant, even with all his $ he can't buy reputation or image, and he ruined both due to his arrogance. Considering the great lengths he went to in order to have the career he did and garnish a 'family man' public image' of the caliber we saw... well I think HIS particular brand of stupid is of cosmic proportions. I wasn't saying the fact he is a lotto ticket is a problem for him financially. Let me be clear, the fact the guy is a walking lotto ticket means he should have realized women would be lining up for a shot at the Pick 6, meaning there would be lots of interest in taking advantage of his stupidity. In other words, his fame made him a magnet for women looking to get rich which makes him more likely to come across someone trying to get pregnant from him, actively trying with ovulation kits & the whole bit, THAT part is where it's a problem for him, not only him but men like him everywhere.

Howard Stern may have his flaws but at least he understood this and would talk about this issue publicly, at least when I was listening back in the day... Howard was no dummy but Arnold, he's a dummy.

I just read online that Maria was suspicious and confronted the woman in January. She admitted it and then Maria confronted Arnold. I find the timing suspicious - right when he was leaving the governor's office. Maybe she figured that was the time to deal with this, without any political fallout while he was in office.

L.A. Times reporter covering the Arnold story was on CNN today. He says the Times knew the story was 100 percent true and there was no way Arnold could deny it once the paper questioned him about whether the boy was his son.

Barabak does not say precisely how the paper got the story. He credits old-fashioned "shoe leather" for chasing the lead down.

Really? That is a "right" he gave up when he married Maria and made a commitment to her. Sorry, it's not his "right" when it affects his wife and children. It's purely selfish behavior and not a choice he is allowed to have as a husband and father.

That link is for a story to Princess Beatrice's Royal Wedding hat.

As has previously been discussed, the media has put words in her mouth. She said she may have "heard" that there are more children. That is hardly news at all.

For some reason, they are keying in on her, and presenting her as saying things she has not said. Several other stars said they wouldn't be surprised to hear otherwise either.
