Why can't people return phone calls????

This bugs me to no end.

I need a receipt for my YMCA dues I paid for the past 6 months so that I can get reimbursed from our company (we have a fitness reimbursement program because some sites have workouts centers). Anyway, I have left a message 3 times since 5/26 (trying not to be a pest) for the business manager at the Y. In my messages I explained what I needed, spelled my last name, and left my number (twice on each message). She has yet to call me back. Why can't she just call and tell me the receipt will be mailed or left at the front desk or that they can't do it. Something.

This is a big pet peeve of mine. Thanks for letting me vent.

They are too busy and self important, the same reason they screen calls and fail to rsvp. Just the kind of reason it is hard to make friends so many people have the manners of hedgehogs and really think they are just about perfect.
I could go on about what kind of activities I think these people tend to all enjoy too but I won't.

The Y is the worst IMO. I called there several times for birthday party information, camp, swimming lessons, membership, etc. and never once got a return call.
