I received a pin(for the first time ever). It is for January to April. Adults pay kids prices on meal plan and park tickets. I have called to book for five nights for TWO adults and I feel as though it is RIDICULOUSLY expensive...

Am I just being cheap?? 2 adults at Boardwalk 3900 including the meal plan, plane, tickets, hotel...

POFQ--$2600...same deal

I just feel that a 30% off deal is coming

I feel guilty finally getting a pin and not using it!

Am I being crazy?! lol My DH is no help!

Why don't you just book under the pin and then change it if a better promo comes out? I don't know if that's expensive or not... if that includes your flights, I don't think it sounds that expensive. We are staying at CSR for 8 nights on a free dining pin (room is rack rate) in November, and our total including flights for two adults will end up being about $3200.

No, not crazy. The one time we got a pin for disneyland it just didn't make any sense. Still more expensive than the plans we had in place staying offsite (no real advantage to staying onsite there). Sometimes it just doesn't work out, and frankly my husband and I are renting points and staying at AKL in a savannah view for under 1K which is our highest expense. I don't usually add in airfare since that is the same regardless of any of disney's deals, so I can't compare the rest of it but I know we won't spend THAT much on meals & tickets.

Sorry, sounds better than any deal I've ever gotten! However, maybe I've been the sucker. Deluxe Resort (which we've never stayed at), flight, and meal plan for $3,900? Based on my experiences, I'd jump all over it!

That seems kind of expensive to me for some reason. I have 2 adults, 4 nights, 4 days of park tickets (with hoppers) for $3000 at BC. I booked it so I can starting paying a little at a time out of my paycheck each month and hope for a % discount. We're foregoing the dining plan this trip because we want to do 4 TS meals (1 of which is a signature place and 2 breakfasts) and I'll spend less with more TS credits than I would on paying for dining plan.

You could ask what the price would be without air, and see if you can get better flight prices. In any case if you are getting the deluxe dining plan I think you are saving $75 per adult per night which is $750 savings. I think you save about $30 per adult per park ticket which is about $60. So, your discount comes out to about $800. Now, I hope I've done this correctly but I've looked at 2013 prices so this could be off a bit.

I think that's not a bad deal, but I would check into flight prices.

A 30% room only discount for a deluxe resort is usually a better bargain for two people than the stay, play and dine plan. When we traveled to WDW last February two different discounts were announced in early October, a RO discount or the stay, play and dine plan. When crunching the numbers, the room discount was a better deal for my DH and I. We were at the WL in a woods view room. It would be a better deal for a family of four, but not two.

That was including round trip airfare at 498 direct on JetBlue! Not 498 each, that's the total for both if us! The airfare is the best part of the desk, to me!

Don't do it if you think it is too expensive. It seems like many people, not just on this board, are overspending and feeling guilty about it or just plain overspending to begin with. Relax and don't do something just because you got an offer.:thumbsup2

Seems expensive to me-we are going Sept 4-10th and it is costing us-$2300 including plane from CT. on Jet Blue. We are at POR but still seems expensive to me-we have tix and free dining too.

That seems cheap and affordable! We are paying over $8k for everything in November. I have 4 children though, but we used airline miles only having to purchase 1 seat. I must be doing something wrong!

It seems expensive to me.

I'm going in September with our DD, a week at POR with park hopper passes and airfare (Delta) is $2500. I had a pin code, 30% off room rate. We've never gone in September before, always January and once in March. We didn't get the free dining, it was either 30% off room OR the dining...she figured it out and 30% off the room would be less expensive for us. Plus we aren't all that interested in the food, not enough to want a sit down meal every day. We generally have breakfast at the food court, lunch at a quick counter service, and then dinner back at the food court. DD has never been to Disney before, so we may try a couple sit-down restaurants (50's Prime Time Cafe and Fulton's Crab House) if we can get in without a reservation. If not, no big deal.

If I were you I would I would save $1300 and stay at POFQ. A deluxe isn't all that important to me, moderate is just fine as we're not planning on spending much time in our room anyway. :)

I always hesitate buying flights so far in advance because I like to play with my dates if a better discount comes out or if I can find cheaper airfare on different days, but it sounds like the flights are a good price, so in your case, if you are ok with the dates, I would book it and then see if a better discount comes out that is applicable to your dates as you can always apply the new discount. If you do purchase the flights with the package, I highly recommend purchasing Disney's insurance. We found out the hard way that Disney's flight change/cancellation policies are more strict than Jetblue's (has to do with their contract with Jetblue).

If you would rather have flexibility with your dates, book the package but don't buy the flights or the insurance now. I personally don't like purchasing air through disney.

The pin code may end up being your best deal. I have a friend going end of August with a pin code and it turned out it was a better deal than the late summer offer.

What the what?!?! I have four children too...and also only had to pay for one ticket because of miles...and our total (with free dining) is just under $4k! Even before the free dining with the meal plan it was under $5k. You must be overpaying for accommodations??

What month are you looking at for those prices? Personally I'd forget the Deluxe and go more than 5 nights at a Moderate!

If you're planning on going during that time frame, I'd book it now with the PIN. If a better discount comes out you can change your reservation. I've gotten numerous PINS that I've never used -- usually because they were for travel at a time when we weren't planning on going. And even when I did book with a PIN I always compared it to whatever other deals there were for the same time frame to see which one saved us more money.

Free dining and time of year obviously make a huge difference. There are three of us (2 adults, 1 child) flying to WDW in September. We have free dining at POR and are staying in a Royal Room. Our package with free dining for 5 nights/ 6 days with 5 day non-hopper tickets was right at $2000 and a few cents, minus the 5% I saved by paying for our trip with Disney gift cards purchased at a discount from Target (so $1900 for the package). It would have been even less if we had chosen to stay in a non Royal Room. Our round trip nonstop airfare for the three of us thanks to a sale on Southwest was $129 each (about $400 total after taxes) with our bags flying free. Total cost for all three of us: $2300. I wanted to stay under $2500 so I am happy.
