Why Cant I get The Dis Special For The Dolphin On August 23rd?Help

Hey everyone,
is something going on August 23rd at the dolphin? We need a room from august 23 to 28th but it wont give a discount for the 23rd. It has a standard room for 219 dollars and thats just insane meanwhile the promotion has the hotel listed for the rest of my week for 159. Any help is appreciated

Have you called and asked if the promotional rooms are all booked for that date?

I am having the same issue for the night of 7/16 the last night of our trip. I am assuming maybe there is a conference at that time, but who knows. It is frustrating.

Two possibilities suggest themselves, there were a limited number of rooms available at that rate and all of them for that date are reserved, or S/D are offering discounts in small blocks of days, 3 in a row then a couple without then a few more, hoping you'll pay much more for non-discounted days to give yourself an unbroken stay at the resort. I suspect the second thing is already happening because I was able to get the first 3 days of our trip last month at Swan at a discount, couldn't get the next 2 at either S/D on the cheap but got the last 3 at Dolphin. My solution was to stay at AllStar Mo for the middle 2.
