Once again Disney website to pay on our trip is down. You would think that a company so large could get some decent IT people in there to make it work more than only a fourth of the time. It just drives me nuts to go to a website and not have it work. I think this is the thing I hate most about Disney. I could call, but I also hate pushing buttons for 5 min and giving them my life history, just to make a payment. Vent over!:confused3

I think it is just too massive. The kids games and activities are always acting wonky. I tried buying a Dooney and Bourke purse on Disney Store the other day and it was doing the most bizarre thing. It charged my paypal but the order never processed. I had to call and a cast member quickly remedied it but it was annoying to have to call. Also, my DH overheard and my secret splurge for myself was outed. :headache:
Not that I could have kept my new huge Mickey purse a secret. he may not notice a lot but that is hard to miss. Anyway...
I get very frustrated with the site but at least many things can be solved with their customer service cast members who I find to be top-notch.
Hope you get your stuff figured out.

I'm struck by how bad the site is in terms of usability. You would think that a company with Steve Jobs as its largest shareholder (and who sits on the BOD) would be a bit more conscious of their web face.

This is a question for the ages. I have never had a all the way through smooth experience on their website. I can't even tell you how many orders that I did NOT place because of the website not working. Even though it's saved me some money, it's very fustrating. I usually don't bother calling either, by that time, I'm just too annoyed and figure I'll keep my money.

I agree that the site is probably too big. I've often wondered why they don't make Disney Store a totally seperate site with it's own servers and the same for travel/reservations.

Note to Disney, when someone is trying to give you money, it should be as easy and user friendly as possible.

I say that every day at work...:rolleyes1

The proper term is "arrogance". It is a long-term trait of The Walt Disney Company.

When we lived in Northern Virginia Judy and I lived 22 miles room where Disney wanted to put in Disney's America, a historical park. There was a group called the Piedmont Environmental Council, which many people equated to PETA, that was opposed to it. PEC was basically funded by extremely rich people living in the county West of where this was going to be. We worked with a committee, which included the Chambers of Commerce of several local counties. Unfortunately Disney did not take the groups advice, or find out what the people in Price William County actually wanted, and pulled out. They said they did not need help from the local people! And the local people were the ones who knew how the PEC worked.
