Why can't Canadians shop on Disney.com?

Is anybody else cheesed off about the fact that Disney.com will not ship to Canada? We also are excluded from the disney visa deals as well! Hey Disney, how about a little love for your neighbors north of the border!!!

I have been able to ship to Canada , however, the shipping rates are very high, and then on top of it you are charged Duty when they deliver it. I order some costumes last year and stuff, my order was around $100 delivery i think was over $25 then duty too can't remember but i think it may have been around $20. So not worth it unless there is something you cannot find anywhere.

I was looking at ordering the messenger bag for our trip coming up in August but I was sure in the fine print it said that they do not ship to Canada? I will investigate further! Thanks!

I had investigated this awhile ago because DVC membership was offering a discount. I was also told that they will ship but I soon found out that the shipping and duty is too expensive. We decided that if we wanted to get something, we'll just get it at DTD or our vacations.

A few years ago I considered buying from Disney online but their refusal at that time to use a method other than UPS prevented me from purchasing. UPS always manages to charge ridiculous brokerage and items that may not have duty on them always find a way to have duty so that UPS can charge their brokerage fee. Let me know when Disney stops using them and offers USPS as an alternative.

Once I had my merchandise shipped to me in Nova Scotia ( but a friend of mine ordered stuff as well and we split the shippng so it wasn't that bad) abd the other time I had the merchandise shipped straight to POP. The shipping is outrageous to Canada and I had a whole bunch of Tshirts and bags shipped to POP for $5.00!!

I didn't know you could ship it to a resort. How would this work?

Do they guarantee a certain date that it will arrive so that you are sure to be there? What happens if it comes before or after your stay?

Please let me know, I never thought of it, I thought it would have to be sent to a home address.

You can have it sent to any Disney resort ahead of time. Ours arrived a couple of days before we did and I called Guest services to ensure that they would hold it and they said no problem. Just be sure that when you are ordering that you put your confirmation number on the address tag. After you order you will be able to track your order on line and it will tell you when it leaves the warehouse and when it arrives at the resort. It took about 10 days from start to finish for mine because we had stuff personalized, I would say if you ordered a week in advance of your arrival that your merchandise should arrive either when or close to your arrival.

The Disney Resorts will hold your incoming packages for up to 14 days. So you can order 3 weeks before you are leaving and won't have any problem. keep an eye out for discount codes as well for Disneyshopping, it isn't uncommon to get free shipping and as much as a 35% discount off of the posted prices.

If you would really like one of those bags, you could also check Ebay, quite often you can find a lot of Disney stuff on there.

There are some items that they won't ship to Canada. I remember wanting to order some stuff at Christmas and wanted a door mat for outside but they wouldn't ship it here. I see you are in Hamilton. Do you get to Port Huron at all? I know of a store owned by a Canadian that people can ship to and she holds your package. She charges $5 for this. I have used them many times before and they are close to the Sarnia/Port Huron bridge. PM if you want there address. The package gets sent in your name with there store name beside it.

Are you thinking of getting any particular messenger bag, or the seemingly 'unofficial' bagallini bag? If so, I was at my local GLOBO shoe store yesterday and they have the bagallinis there. I think you have GLOBO in Ontario, right? Just FYI, if it helps.
