I've been looking for dinner reservations at Be Our Guest for weeks and weeks with no luck. Today, there are numerous reservations available for the two days I have been searching, May 12 and 13. What would cause these to suddenly pop up?

I'm with you and it makes me crazy! We went in August and the same thing happened, a couple of months out ADRs for BOG magically appeared. Didn't happen for our December trip.....

Disney starts with a minimum anticipated crowd level, but as it increases they will increase park hours. Larger crowds means more guests will want to eat at various restaurants so they increase staffing at the restaurants as well and more reservations are added to the system.

Same thing just happened to me. I figured the week of the 4th of July would be super busy, so I wasn't surprised when there were no ADRs available. Suddenly a whole bunch opened up and I was able to snag two of them for a party of 7. This trip was booked later compared to most so we didn't do the whole ADR 180 day thing.

Thanks for that I just got a dinner for our party of 5 for May 22nd very happy.

After I saw the OP's post I checked for a dinner on 5/27 (we already have ADRs for that date at the time we want) and sure enough two ADRs popped up...one for really late and one for really early. It is crazy to see this, but it make those that have been looking for an ADR really happy to finally get one :goodvibes.

To be honest I think I looked twice and decided that I wasn't that interested in eating there to spend all my time looking for adrs but after seeing the post I thought I would give it a go and what do you know I have one, it is at 4.10 which I know a lot of people wouldn't like but it is perfect for us with three small children.

Thanks Purple Figment and everyone else for the replies. This makes sense. I know WDW has to constantly adjust staffing with all the variations that take place. Maybe this is just a "normal" type of adjustment and it doesn't mean the parks will be totally packed when I'm there (being selfish).

I was hoping that my post would get others to re-check for their dates; especially those that had pretty much given up...:thumbsup2

I wonder if this will happen for other restaurants? I have been obsessively checking to get ADRs for CRT in May. I found a table for two so I can at least take my DD, but I know my older DS also wants to go. Sigh. I'll keep checking.

I was lucky to get a BOG dinner reservation last week. It was totally random. A 4:35 slot just popped up. I wasn't expecting it at all. I only checked because someone mentioned it happening in April. I'm so excited!!!!

Hmmm I just checked BOG for lunch and it said no times available.

BOG at lunch is a counter service and regular reservations are not taken so no times would show up. If you are staying onsite, however, there is a FP+ option, but it isn't available until closer to the date.
